Skype automatically translating multilingual voice calls

Microsoft's Skype will eventually be able to translate voice calls between people. In an on-stage demo at the Code conference today, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella showed off Skype Translator, an upcoming version of the service that is capable of translating voice conversation in "near real-time" using technology developed by the company's Skype and Translator teams. With it, you can talk in your native language to another user who speaks a different language, and Microsoft will translate it to the other person.

Comes also on Xbox One. Great with Kinect(1080p, clear voice).

What I quoted above didn't come up in a search way before I posted and it seemed an opinion he or someone else generated. I simply asked for proof and you are defending a known liar instead of providing a link, which knowing your posts isn't surprising. He may not be lying but that's why I asked for a link. I just wanted to read who said that and possibly why. It's believable but it's also odd.

Also, the TC has a long history of making up things and misinforming users in his OPs. I think he gets confused himself. He'll take something real, post it and sneak in a lie or his own warped interpretation. Quite simply, I'm not sure what I have here.

I see you have no link you provided either, so you should take your own advice and "Learn to use google?" and then get back to me on the link I simply asked for...Granted, I didn't spend a lot of time googling, but I gave it the old college try before realizing that's what the TC should have done. You see, having someone search for a link for an official opinion that doesn't seem to exist/hard to find, it's an obvious fool's errand. The TC could easily provide it since he's paraphrasing it.

@lostrib: in fairness, Skype is a feature available on the Xbox One but not currently on PS4.. it fits within the confines of "system wars" just like Netflix was a feature that lemmings bragged about last gen until it came to the PS3 and cows bragged about Bluray.. this is nothing new..

Here is an article from before launch quoting the head of Skype. He says he wants to put it on PS4, mentions shipping on PSP, and blah blah blah. Makes sense to me. Skype is a service that becomes more valuable by having more people on it. Same reason Sony put Crackle on the XB1.

This could possibly insight wars and destroy diplomatic relations. If it's anything like auto-correct spell check?

Skype is owned by MS genius. Sony is going bankrupt so the PS4 may not survive
