Any PC gamer from the oldschool has some instant Hnngs at the sight of this. Apparently, Activision is setting up to relaunch Sierra next week at Gamescon and there is some VERY interesting stuff coming to light. Details to come after this Youtube teaser:

A look at the code of the site also reveals a sweet little spoiler as well. Scroll to the bottom for the goodies:

Hermits, rejoice! The time is at hand!

Okay, the SW resident apathetic hipster has spoken. Anyone else?

It has been a minute since I played a Sierra game. I think the last one was Lighthouse: The Dark Being way back in the day....

This'll end up just like EA's revival of Maxis, or the resurrection of Black Isle. All or mostly new staff attempting casualized cash grabs under the name of studios formerly known for quality.

Sierra brings back some fond memories. That being said, I suspect that this resurrection will be in name only.

If I am wrong, quote me later for ownage.

On June 22, 2014, Atari announced a new corporate strategy that would include a focus on "new audiences," specifically "LGBT, social casinos, real-money gambling, and YouTube."

At this point I am not expecting much because Activision is involved . However , if somehow they can work independently within Activision like Blizzard , then we may see good PC titles from them . As mentioned earlier , SWAT 5 would be nice .

I thought this too until I saw that easter egg in their site script. Apparently, they are set to announce a King's Quest. For whatever reason, I am actually real excited to play a P&C adventure again. It seemed like a dead genre, but delivered so much gold when I was a kid. It will be interesting to see if it resonates with a new generation of gamers. They were definitely challenging.

King's Quest is a good start, right?
