Selling the concept to a game I wrote?

I had no idea where elseto put this topic... But, if I made a concept for a game. Could I somehow sell the idea or something to an investor of sort? How would I go about doing that? I have the concept on my profile in my blog. Any help is greatly appreciated (such as where to put this topic..).

If like someone stole it? I could care less if I was paid for my idea, as long as it's made... lol

That is why I said to be continued. I know there's a lot more work, but I have to know if I can work towards something, lol.

You can't. THere are thousands of awesome ideas out there, there's never a shortage of them. What companies want is execution of those ideas.

You might try finding angel investor that will finance you making the game if it's really unique and promising.

Hey, I never said it would be made. I just want to at least try and get it to presentation form.

I'm afraid no one is going to buy your idea because chances are about 1000 other people have already thought of it.

I'm pretty sure that's not viable, if you want a game made you'll have to do it yourself... Everyone gets an idea for a vidya game every once in a while, but it's not like real developers would be interested in that :lol:

I think I've read that you contact an actual developer/publisher and present it to them (they won't be able to steal your idea for legal reasons)

Don't waste your time though.

Renegade Kid I believe held a competition where anyone who paid a certain fee could submit an idea for a 3DS eShop sidescroller and one of them could possibly turn into a real game, pretty cool.

Steal a bunch of vids from YouTube, make a trailer and post it on Kickstarter to gather money. Afterwards, hire programmers and artists and make the game. I want 5% if this works ...
