Sega (or nay gaming company for that matter) never had such a dream team.
Shigeru Miyamoto, Satoru Iwata, Eiji Aonuma, Masahiro Sakurai, and Eguchi. You could consider Kojima part of that team but he's a dick now and doesn't want to put Metal Gear on Nintendo platforms so no.

Thats all i really need to say.
And heres a bit thats gonna blow your mind the NES ports of MG were actually heavily butchured and Kojima doesnt even consider them MG games unlike their MSX counterparts which is strangely a PC...and even more hillarious is that it was a machine manufactured by Sony.Just would really like to point out your ignorance and unfound hatred towards Kojima.
He has a unfound hatred towards Nintendo. "The game has to be unique" that's his reason for not making any games for the Wii U? And it's not just Kojima, It's RockStar, Crystal Dynamics, Electronic Arts, etc. Nobody in those board rooms stands up and asks "Why not?" Have you ever stopped to think that maybe Nintendo themselves might be to blame for the unwillingness of third-party companies to hop on board the Wii U? These developers know far more then either one of us when it comes to both the Wii U and the potential power of Sony and Microsoft's next systems. Maybe they don't want to invest any money developing for a system that might end up being a stopgap when the Xbox 720 and PS4 both come out.
Nintendo is the one that is selling 2005-2006 tech that is slightly beefed up alongside a tablet controller and pretending this is a new system. If I were a developer and saw specs that were only slightly better then the 360 and PS3, why would I get excited? Especially if the new systems from Sony and Microsoft blows the Wii U away in terms of power and capabilities.
One other thing to consider is this. Is Nintendo requiring Wii U pad support for every game? If so, then that leaves even less incentive for developers to bother porting 360 and PS3 games.
It's not an unfounded hatred of Nintendo. Simple fact is, Nintendo's constant desire to be different from the other systems on the market has bit them in the ass time and time again. The Nintendo 64 lost Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and missed out on games like Metal Gear Solid due to Nintendo's refusal to use CDs and it got its ass kicked by the PS1, the Wii for all of its success never got major third-party support due to offering under-powered hardware that was barely at the level of the Xbox, and the Wii U is following the same path.
About the only systems Nintendo tried to keep similar to their competitors was the NES, SNES and the Gamecube. And even the Gamecube had some serious problems since Nintendo did not support online play or DVDs .
And that's the problem, the developers can't be blamed for not wanting to work on Nintendo's hardware. Nintendo does not really offer them the best hardware to work with in the first place. Let's be blunt here, Nintendo has not had excellent hardware that was equal or better then their rivals since the SNES. Every other console they have made since that time has had some flaw that has held it back.
