[RUMOR] Disney might acquire Sony

Just bringing some possible news to the people.

I thought Japan forbids Japanese companies from being sold to non Japanese companies.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about that.

Disney does good work....but I kinda like Sony the way it is....well, the Playstation part that is.

Japan has laws in place to prevent Sony from being bought out. Otherwise they would have been forced out years ago. Japan practically owns Sony. So if they make Japan a big enough offer I bet that they would be willing to relax the law long enough to let Disney buy Sony. That and Japan gets a big money suck off their books. Everyone wins.

This is one of the more stupid rumors I've seen in a long time. It's obviously based on the news of the Marvel + Sony team up for Spider-Man just yesterday night.

Some silly person just went too far for lulz based on last nights news Sony's allowed to make movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sony Pictures. Not Sony. If Sony Pictures comes on the market because Sony chooses to sell that division. Context is everything, although that was indeed shit journalism so I understand why people would lose the context.

And its referring to only sony pictures.

It looks like IGN updated the article to read Sony Pictures and not Sony.

I don't care if this did happen, I simply know it won't happen. Disney is a great company.

Really haven't been pleased with comics since Disney bought it. Might be coincidence. ... but heh

Makes perfect sense to me.

Sony has rights that Disney wants. Spiderman, James Bond, maybe even possible Sony characters such as Kratos.

TLOU and Uncharted are almost movies anyway so it really fits there.

Turns out the rumor was just about Sony Pictures. That has nothing to do with System Wars, so I am locking this.
