Rockstar is the Most Secretive Developers when it comes to Leaks, Spoilers, News

remember when GTA4 had no public gameplay at all right up until a few days before release when a few videos leaked but even those were quickly deleted/locked. and they kept us guessing for years after the first trailer with no news or anything at all. Wow imagine what they must be doing with GTA5 right now, we have no idea.

They do that with a couple of their games, I remember seeing squat diddly when SA was going to come out, just screen shots out of magazines

Eh, they are kinda tight with their secrets, but a few rumors did get out about GTA 5 being a launch title for the Wii U (at the time rumored to be called Project Cafe).

But being too secretive can do bad things. Sometimes its good to give some info out even if the game is a few years away from release, that way the dev can measure gamer reactions and feedback to see if they should or shouldnt make any changes to the game.

It's semi-boring stuff like animation times and control schemes, but it's quite real. I don't know what Rockstar's previous history with secrecy is, but it looks like they've slipped up at least this one time.

I'm okay with that; not getting moderated takes precedence. They were hosted files (not from a news site) so posting a link would be a really bad idea. I'm sure it'll show up on some news site eventually and then people can talk. Until then, just ignore me and carry on with the thread.

That could be just Rockstar leading us on a wild-goose-chase. Devs have done it before.

Considering how much Nintendo have on their plate, I think they hold secrets pretty well too.

They really are, i mean so many people work on these games and still we don't even know where the game takes place or in which aera. Some pizza delivery guy that glimpsed at a monitor should be able to tell us where it takes place lol. But no they're extremely careful with leaks.
