Reviews need to include weather or not content has been stripped for DLC. Not that long ago games were 15 to 20 hours long. Now games are shorter and developers getting away with cutting content to sell separately. Paying full retail for a 8-10 hour long game is a rip off and no ones saying anything about.

Of course reviews aren't going to tell you that, well the big one certainly won't. They need to keep their backers sweet ya know. Also, its whether, not weather.

Typically hard to prove when content is stripped from a game. I know plenty of reviews that say when a game doesn't feel very substantial, but your asking them to make direct, yet unsubstantiated claims.

In a professional setting, it's hard to accuse someone who you depend on for your livelihood of something and still be making money.

And how exactly will reviewers be able to determine if DLC content has been stripped from the full game? Not really something developers are going to openly admit.

Since it can be pretty hard to actually prove maybe they should spend more time on an actual review instead of a accusation. Let's be honest here if you don't work for the dev there really isn't too many ways the average person can get the full story.

Reviewers should simply review games based on what it has only and not what it doesn't.

people should learn to find out some stuff themselves, there's this thing called Google, use it

if it actually concerns you, this is something you know to look for

for instance, it's very clear the upcoming Aliens game is getting stripped of content

They can't determine it, unless the devs or publisher comes right out and says it. We know that will never happen. Capcom & EA are famous for stripping games of content and then trying to sell it to eager gamers after the game launches. Total BS
