Resistance 3 is absolutely perfect matter, which in some ways, lagging in some contrast outperforms its closest competitor Killzone thirdPersonally, I sympathize more with the third Killzone, Resistance 3 but was pleasantly surprised and offered first-cl@ssexperience that we will long remember.If you are for good action experience, choose Resistance 3, but if you require epičtější battle, select Killzone thirdThe decision is up to you both, but the best thing released this year in the genre.

PSN Pass is basically like the EA Online Pass to play Used games online.

Plot

August 1957; the United States of America is lost. Four years after Resistance 2, dishonorably discharged Sentinel Joseph Capelli has given up fighting the Chimeran menace; he has been reduced to hiding with other survivors, including his wife and young son. When Dr. Fyodor Malikov arrives with the opportunity to deliver a blow to the occupying Chimeran force, Capelli leaves his family to journey the harrowing road from Oklahoma to New York City. Along the way, he encounters the remnants of humanity left in the aftermath of the brutal Chimeran invasion.

Gameplay

The game will retain mostly the same gameplay mechanics as it predecessor albeit with several changes. The weapon wheel and health bar from the first Resistance game will be returning after it was excluded from Resistance 2. There will also be new environmental objects such as chimeran plants which explode when shot at. The game will see a mixture of new and old weapons; returning weapons include the Bullseye, Magnum, Rossmore, Auger, Marksman and Carbine. The new weapons include the Mutator, which shoots biological mist that causes enemies to eventually explode causing splash damage, the Dead eye sniper rifle, and a new food-can shaped grenade, which releases an arsenal of nails when it explodes.All weapons are upgradeable, and become more powerful the more they are used. In line with the survival theme of Resistance 3, humans are forced to assemble their weapons from whatever scrap they can gather.The video game will also feature PlayStation Move support and stereoscopic 3D. Additionally, players will be able to utilize the PlayStation Sharp Shooter peripheral attachment.

Resistance 3 features 16 player competitive online multiplayer with both deathmatch and objective-based modes. It also includes a customizable progression system where players spend points earned by playing online to unlock customized loadouts that include various tactical and combat attributes. There is also a co-operative mode where players can team up to play through the story mode either online or split-screen.Gameinformer's podcast revealed that there will be no 8 player co-op like in Resistance 2. The multiplayer maps are set in locations around the world such as the Fort Lamy prison in the Republic of Chad, Africa. Some of these maps are not included in the story mode.

All North American buyers of specially marked copies of SOCOM 4 (including both the standalone and Deployment Edition) included a redeemable voucher for early access to the Resistance 3 multiplayer beta. European product manager Elliott Linger confirmed that the upcoming Resistance 3 demo will be a PlayStation Plus exclusive in Europe, and available at exactly the same time.

I am hyped.

I never could earn the platinum in Resistance 2 because of that 10,000 kill trophy. and by the time i got online only the crazy leet people running around with Wraith (Mini-Gun) were running around. I could not compete or even really enjoy it.

So i'll definently be in the Resistance 3 MP early on.

What really has me excited is that it looks much more like fall of man than resistance 2. great atmosphere, they brought back the weapon wheel, great graphics/art direction, and the multiplayer has been dialed back to 16 players which means the matches won't be chaotic piles of crap like R2's :P

not going to get it day 1 as of right now, but I will definitely pick this up.

I would say my GS score is AA HYPE...Vens, you should Drop the poll dawg, they are useless for a great many reasons. I would say, just have everyone post their individual HYPE, heck, we could even get you some counters if you want. Check out our buddies Uncharted 3 thread. :P

FOR the record though, AA is Winning that poll by a HUGE large margin, about 150% over AAA votes, and A votes...so, it looks like AA was the HYPE, however, after a game comes out, too much manipulation with these polls. It's best to just have everyone post their HYPE to avoid that mess.

I'm still debating whether I should buy day one, rent it, or wait for a price drop. Not really interested in the competitive MP, only SP and Co-op

I revamped the hype thread but will add more. I decided not to take the poll down because people have already voted and It would be rude of me to ask everyone to post their vote again :(

I've got mixed feeling about this.

The single player looks like a massive improvement, and best in the series.

The multi, it worries me. Coop looks like a huge downgrade from 2, and the online multiplayer looks like a de-evolution back to the flaws of R1 online. Or meat shields on ice as I like to nick name it
