Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Hype Thread - 9/10 from GS and 89 on MC

Well I'm glad it's great, last good ratchet was into the nexus and that was 8 years ago. Unfortunately I just can't really justify paying 70 dollarinos for a platformer with little content and replay value.

Looks good and a good use of an SSD drive.

Never played any of them but not paying $70, will continue to play other games until price drops.

Will definitely get when it's closer to $40, the rift gameplay looks pretty cool.

There are 3 insomniac games that have gotten a metacritic rating of 90+. Ratchet and clank going commando 90, Spyro year of the dragon 91 and ratchet and clank up your arsenal 91. Will see if this can get it's score pushed to 90 to be the 4th.

Not a fan of the series, it looks more of the same and it looks gorgeous so for fans must be great.

Disappointed by the implementation of the portals, I thought it was going to be a highly dynamic systems but I guess if it was something new and innovative, on top of the game they released, it would score an 11 or 12/10.

My prediction was a 9 and 88 I think so I was not far.

Got a poster coming in the mail to for this game. Insomniac are the best can't wait to play this master peace and the Rynio in this sounds to cool. Funny people always talking about downgrades yet from DF it sounds like it's better looking then it was in trailers and such and it looked better in the state of play then it did at the June announcement last year.

Ratchet, while impressive, renders the second viewport while the previous is dumped from memory. (As confirmed by DF)

The Medium has to render 2 viewport simultaneously, meaning both remain in memory and are rendered at the same time including ai, physics, animations etc.

Different game design, not directly comparable.

How come people in here can't get around there head even if its in 1080p it still up scaled to look 4k? another words games like returnal that is in 1080p does not look 1080p on your 4k tv.

I still don't know what's the native resolution of the 60fps modes.

At this point where are insomniac on Sony's pecking order you could argue they are in the top 2.
