Rage what a joke!

people thinking this is graphics king? whats with the cartoony ****and poor detail? The only good thing i see about it is draw distance, but Crysis 2 smashes this easily.

Rage looks fantastic, still a bit inconsistent. KZ2, gears3 and Crysis2 look better imo

That photo you are using is some ridiculously large resolution like 2500x1700.

I always found that id games have a habit of sub-par world texturing yet excellent models, shadows and lighting.

I thought this thread was going to discuss some alarming issue with Rage's gameplay or general concept, but instead it's just another day of graphics fetishists bickering.

We've already seen what we're going to get.

Like Doom 3, it looks a tad different than the other games, based on the rendering tech I would assume, but honestly I wasn't impressed with the game AT ALL. In fact, I missed its reveal and didn't even start noticing previews for the game until I started search E3 coverage more thoroughly.

There are places in KZ2 that look like that. For example, in the begining of the the game when you take cover in the warehouse,textures instantly smudge and look very muddy. There are many examples like this in KZ2 that are very noticable but yet people don't talk much about it. As a matter of fact, I havent played a console game yet on the PS3or 360 that has been 100% graphically consistant through out thewhole game, and that includes: Gears 1-2, Mass Effect 1-2, Uncharted 1-2, MGS4 and God of War3.

That picture looks great and runs in 60 fps. Crysis 2 wish it could look as artistically as Rage.

Lemmings have a tendency to hype most games, multiplats or exclusives, as console graphics kings, and they have all flopped badly for a very long time...Its not at all suprising they are hyping a pre-alpha version of a game that is lacking alot in terms of technical prowess to be considered console graphics king (I know its in pre-alpha and the ID tech5 engine is great)...Lemmings should at the least wait till Rage is in Beta to see some very significant improvements graphically before they hype it up. After all the other exclusives and multiplats that have flopped graphically, I would suspect them to have better judgement, though it appears not, since they are hyping Crysis 2 and Gears 3 to look better graphically than U2, GOW3, and KZ2/3...The4 titles mentioned all look much better graphically than Rage, Gears 3, and Crysis 2

Yeah only Lemmings do this. Cows never do this with pretty much every exclusive release that is coming out. Fanboys are fanboys on both sides of the fence.

Sort of like saying that Lemmings should wait until a game is in beta to make a judgement on graphics, but then you say that U2, GOW3, and KZ2/3 all look MUCH better than Rage, Gears3, and Crysis2 will? Isn't that making a judgement before those games are in beta, or released? Hmmm.
