It'll really come down to Q4 2023.

It's historically been a weak quarter but, they did godly numbers last year. Even doing half as good can get them close to 25M. Is it possible to get a decent result in Q4? Absolutely. Ragnarok is still selling very well, Spider-Man 2 is selling like hot cakes, TLOU2 Remastered is around the corner and, they have 3x new exclusives including FF7 Rebirth in Q4. So yeah, they should be able to sell 3-4M+ units in Q4.

Congrats to Sony. I find the generation underwhelming and am glad to have skipped the consoles thus far. Elden ring on steam deck has been the generational high point for me.... Magical.

This system has no competition. The Switch is ONLY the main system of a child. No self respecting adults will ever main the Switch as their primary system. And the Xbox has completely ruined its reputation since 2013, and is obviously incapable of recovering with mediocrity that is Halo Infinite, Flopza, Redfall and Starfield.

Gaming is more popular than ever, but Sony has nobody to compete with. This is such a shame.

Microsoft wanting to be market leader doesn't look good.

Call of Duty isn't a great shooter game I wouldn't be promoting for MS.

Sony usually has both, but this doesn't apply to this generation. For the first time since Playstation became a thing, i consider the ps5 to be as shitty as the x. Nothing spicy to play, and absolutely NOTHING to look forward to. Its as if the system was never released.

Yeah. It seems like covid+development struggles+the GAAS shift might have made it harder for sony to release games at a consistent pace this gen.

Its not covid. When a game is delayed, we at least know its coming because it was already announced. In this case, nothing is even on the horizon because they were stupid enough to put all their developers on gaas. The worst case scenario has happened.
