PS3 selling better than 360???

man i wish the ps3 would hurry up and take second place so these poor souls will feel better about themselves already.

it seems really important to them and i don't like seeing people in this kind of distress.

it may be just a small victory in the scheme of things but if somebody needs that to be happy then i wish them the best of luck on it.

I think theyre selling better overall for the year. I do think that PS3 is going to overtake 360 eventualy. When is the real question. and if that is even going to matter. Both consoles have done great this gen. i wouldnt consider either 360 or PS3 a failure at this point.

The real thing im glad about here is that.. good to see FFXIII on top :)

Not taking sides, but it's only a matter of time before the PS3 will overtake the Xbox 360. Sure the Xbox 360 is outselling the PS3 in the US, but when you consider the Xbox's poor performance in Japan, and PlayStation land(Europe), it's only a matter of time. Just look at how well the PS3 has caught up to the Xbox 360 since it launched, the X360 had a year head start had what like 10 million units sold it's first year on the market? And now the PS3 is only 2+ million of surpassing the Xbox 360.

This though is attributed to it's poor performance in Japan. While the PS3 isn't doing the best either in Japan it's definitely moving more units there thats for sure.

Before this gen began I said that MS would be Americas choice between the 2 and PS3 would still have Japan. I didnt forsee the wii dominance but that is pretty much the way things are shaping up. XBOX is americas choice.

Over here in ireland the PS3 has clearly taken over where as only two years ago the 360 was king. Its noticable when you go to any game store now that the ps3's section has become bigger and more sales come from there.

i think people are forgetting about GT5 and the power behind it, i mean GT4 was on the #1 list for weeks and seeing that 3 million people bought the demo "GT5 PROLOGUE" alone, this is going to be shorten the gap alot. Now people say halo reach, wouldn't people who love halo already have one? Unless they have to rush out and buy the bundle. Also we got little big planet 2 around the corner also and thats aimed towards casuals and hardcore and i'm sure its going to sell some systems. So we shall see but again don' t count out Little big planet 2 or Gran turismo 5, two heavy hitters, while microsoft is banking on halo and, so we shall see.

Ok even though it in no way interestes me it's obvious the GT franchise is pretty big and GT5 will sell consoles but LBP2 as a console seller is wishful thinking at best.

Too bad NPD doesn't use Amazon in their numbers. Quite the travesty since it is the largest online retailer. That is why I only look at the announced shipped numbers from the manf. to really know how well a system is selling.

Worldwide the 360 has outsold the PS3 for the past 6 weeks in a row and has outsold the Wii the last 4 of 5 weeks. Just sayin.

No is not superior is just have a few things over it,like cross game chat,but lack others like Youtube upload the PS3 has,the core gameplay what matter is basically the same.

Yeah tell me how much did the last console that started retailing for $600 sold in units,the PS3 is been sell now for $300 and is 4 years old,by its 4th birthday the PS2 was $149 or less,and the PS1 as well.

Hell i would have love to see the xbox 360 retail for $600 dollars on 2005,MS would have by now like 20 million unites less easy,hell it has sold more than the original xbox,the GC and N64 while release for more than double the price and in some instances even triple,sony has done great if you ask me with such a high price no other company would have do that,but then again didn't MS beat Nintendo last gen.?

But i did not say the sales did not increase in those territorys,in fact those are the product of a price cut that took place for older models,hell didn't that happen with the PS3 as well when sony slashed the price of the fatter PS3.? But sales get back to normal is not like the xbox 360 will continue to outsell both the Wii and PS3 every month dude,once the old models are pick clean sales woudl be back to normal.

I actually don't care where sony finishes. I dont own a PS3. I own an Xbox thank you very much :)

I do however feel that much like sony before them, MS need a reality check. MS dominating the early stages of this gen led sony to create some excellent new IPs in order to lure in customers whilst MS havbe just purchases timed exclusives (poor ones) and timed DLC(Terrible idea)

MS started this gen with the need to impress and they did, the creation of Xbox Live 2.0, titles like Kameo, Gears etc. They've become stale lately, content with coasting until the end of the gen. If that's what YOU want from a console manufacturere then fair enough. I just expect more :)
