Oh come on... Portable and handheld consoles have always had ports... The GBA had plenty of SNES ports if I am not mistaken... And didnt the GB have NES ports (I only really played pokemon on the GB so I really do not have knowledge of its library).

For people who wants to have extra oomp in their battery life, Sony has addressed the issue and has announced an external battery pack adding at least 6-10 hours of additional playtime:

Doesn't quite matter what the GB had in its library. The Vita's library is considerably port heavy today.

It has shown little to nothing impressive outside flexing the graphical power it touts.

3DS library looks much better so far.

Only game on the PS Vita to interest me so far is Dragon's Crown

Ah very nice, that is awesome. I am glad there are ways for handheld gamers to overcome the battery life problem. Hopefully it is not too pricey because that is a pretty good addon.

Well if we consider that its only competitor is nothng but a port heavier machine and a remake machine we can see why PSV will win this title.

YsIV's remake looks epic. While ports are not the best thing atleast quality games are being ported to the 3DS and Vita like FFX and Tales of Abyss which imo is great for fans of the game or people who never experienced the title as a way to introduce them to the games.

I don't see why most of the games here won't be released next year.

The problem with the huge list of 3DS games was....Nintendo was developing about 90% of them.

Compared to this list where its a combination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Party Developers.

Way to miss the point. Nintendo was developing 90% of the "upcoming" games list back in the 3DS. Kid Icarus, OoT, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart, Mario 3DLand, Starfox, etc. Hence, they failed to deliver it at launch/post launch.

Compared to the PSV list where its a combination of many different devs. Am I saying that everything in the list is gonna get released? Nope. But chances are, it won't be as severe as the the 3DS one.

Comparing this thread to the 3DS 2012 games list thread I have to say that the 3DS looks like it has a better lineup. But then, there are probably lots of games for the Vita that havn't shown like Bioshock, Killzone, and any other first party game by sony (this is what was lacking on the PSP IMO, quality 1st party titles on the level of ps3 exclusives).

Looks good. hoty? Who knows 3ds can't be counted out but Sony is really taking the Vita to the next level hopefully we see this kind of support in upcoming years.

To be fair this is pretty much launch line up from what I gather while the 3DS's line up is after a year of a few great games.

I do agree that the 3DS line up seems to be better at the moment but it is not by that large of a margin. (closest handheld competition imo that there has been).

I've always said that SONY systems are the only systems which I would never consider buying at first day and even first month I always wait for at least 1 year till I buy cuz they usually have no decent games for the first year but so far PSV list is promising and I think the 3 games which \im interested in were confirmed to be a launch title and that why im intrigued in buying it as soon as I can.
