Pokemon OR/AS Sell Over 7.7 Million Units Worldwide

Pokemon OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire have now sold over 7.7 million units worldwide... two weeks after their launch, and just one week after their launch in Europe. It seems like Europe was an especially strong territory for the games, as the bulk of those latter sales seem to have all come from there.

What the ever loving ****. That's insane performance. It's faster than any AAA title this year, and faster than even X and Y last year. It is also thoroughly deserved, since this might be the best entry the franchise has put out in years. I'm thoroughly addicted, and it comes down to how incredible these games are, they stand as the ultimate realization of the Pokemon formula. If you have any interest in the franchise, you really need to go ahead and purchase these ones.

Good to know, I beat the game completely about a week ago. Still play it on occasion to catch more Pokemon and train them.

Watch Dogs sold 4 million in a month, 9 million six months later, TLOU: Remastered and Mario Kart 8 haven't sold that much LTD period, inFamous' lifetime sales are less than 2 million, Super Smash Bros. 3DS is at under 5 million, we have no numbers for GTA5, Titanfall, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, Shadow of Mordor, Evil Within, Alien Isolation, The Master Chief Collection, DriveClub, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Destiny, or Call of Duty.

Now tell me if I was wrong, and if you can't stop making a fool out of yourself.

I'm sort of addicted at this point. I'm on a Legendary Run. Purely counting the Pokemon I have caught in AlphaSapphire i.e. not imported from my other games, here's everything I have caught:

Kyogre, Cresselia, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Azelf, Mespirit, Uxie, Latias, Dialga, Thunderus, Heatran, Virizion.

Still left (not counting ones I have to/require trade from OmegaRuby:

Lugia, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Zekrom, Terrakion, Cobalion, Regirock, Registeel, Regice, Regigigas

Yeah, this will take a while, and then there are the ones I have to trade in from OR, either because they are OR exclusive, or to unlock Pokemon in AS to catch:

Groudon, Ho-oh, Palkia, Giratina, Kyurem, Reshiram, Latios

Sigh.
