tried it and I thought it was alright but I don't see how majority of users would be able to steam and play multiplier at the same time. It requires an extremely fast connection for the games expect for the psn ones and on ps4 sony agian has no real content to try.if you want a ps3 beta key I have one extra

This is Beta! It requires 10Mbps+ Ethernet/wired connection for best use. When it releases to all the public it will have tons of games. There are 3 games on there I will play & they are all free.

I am in the PS NOW Beta, it works well so far...far better than I honestly expected. I'm in the PS4 and PS3 Beta. I've picked up a Platinum Trophy due to PS NOW, lol. They aren't demos of games, but the full thing.

Due to NDA, we can't talk too much about NOW, but so far it's been very good. Of course, good internet is a must like any streaming service. I have the top Wifi consumer ranked router in the world (ASUS AC68) to compliment my high speeds, but I also know some people may not be as fortunate.

I'm not much of a renter and I own all my older machines, but for people that do like to rent it's neat-o. I also could see it being useful for those 360 and other converts getting a PS4 and never owning older PS consoles. They will have a big library to go back and enjoy. It's a pretty sweet service in that respect.

I hate the idea of streaming games. I really hope this fails because I would hate to see gaming continue to go futher down this path in the future.

It worked out far better then I expected. I can definitely see myself using this for older games that I don't want taking up space on my hd. So far so good, Sony.

PS now was a lot worse when it first launched into beta. Now its far better, so yeah, it's still in beta.

If you don't have a PS3, then PS now is a decent service for gaming.

Do you have to pay PS Now subscription and PS+ so you can play games online? Does streaming affect frame rate and resolution? Can you play co-op or split screen with any of the games?

Shit, I want this so bad, but I live on Maui and up on a damn volcano. Needless to say, our net speeds are not quite the best available. I can play fpses online with no prob, around 60 ms lag but I don't know if that's good or what, but I doubt streaming games is going to work very well. Hell, I don't know if Sony's going to be offering it out here anyway. For the amount of users this rock can give them, I doubt it'd be worth the hassle.

I've had the beta for a few weeks now and I stopped using it because of input lag and downgraded image quality, my brother-in-law is a wholly Sony fan but he does'nt use it because of the lag. I have a 60mbps connection and he has 25mbps connection so I don't understand why there is so much lag. I tried Dead Island, MX, and a few others hopefully this gets worked out by Sony or they increase their number of servers to work out all the issues, at the current state of PSnow I don't think it can sustain a reliable connection for every PS4 and PS3 owner to enjoy the service.

No, I've been playing it for a couple days now. There's about 12 games on the Beta Test & they're all free. I'm playing Dead Island Riptide for my first test. So far with my bandwidth at 15 Mbps it runs about 95-98% as good as if you had the disc or had it installed on the HDD. I've noticed it's just a bit slower on the frame rate. I definitely wouldn't recommend using it without being wired/Ethernet & 10Mbps+ ISP. Sony tells you it's recommended to have this in order for it to work well. Sony should've put a faster WiFi adapter in the PS4 so this service would run well that way also. It seems like a good service so far for those that can do this & want to play some titles from PS3 on their PS4. It will depend on pricing & if a lot of people have this good of connection to be successful I believe.

This was always a weird one to be fair. Maybe they're just planning ahead....waaaaayy far ahead. I still own all my consoles so I have no real need to stream games, mostly because I feel like the lag would be irritating and the fact that my connection is still ADSL. sigh'

Because playing online usually has some latency, and streaming will have some latency so streaming while playing online will have double or more the latency?

well it depends on your internet I suppose... but I can stream films and play online with no suffering on any. (40Mb) .... games are not generally demanding on that front.

Latency isn't dependent on your internet. There is a difference between latency and lag. Latency is something that hasn't been eliminated yet... If they have developed a workaround that would be great but streaming an online game seems like a lot of information being sent back and forth that could get hampered by latency in more places than normal

Try playing dead island where your movements doing show up on screen till about 3 seconds after you press them. Also imagine how when your video sometimes pixelates to blocky and scrambled cause a latency hiccup in your game.

10Mbps is nothing, we have the cheapest broadband connection in the country and its 20, for just 20% more money we'd get 50 and for 50% more we'd get 100Mbps so everyone in the western world should stream no problem. I was expecting 20+ being the minimum.

@Mozelleple112: unfortunately in the US sometimes your lucky to even have broadband. I have the fastest I can get and it's 15 and they only just raised it from 10 max about 3 months ago.

Not to mention my 150gb a month data cap. I wonder how much this uses?

It's OK. You can come trade places with me and have fast speeds and high bandwith. I'll suffer through the shitty life that is living on Maui. ;P
