Id's upcoming title Rage on PC is going to be a console port (360), so the company that started benchmarking on PC and started the 3d engine and a company that was supposed to be PC only, is making their first game in 6 years a console port, nice way to thank your PC fanbase carmack

I also don't know were you got your facts that ID is a PC exclusive company. They have always been a multiplatform game developer.

I do agree with one thing, I'm not sure why PC gamers would bother going out and buying the most powerful hardware anymore. But I think that's actually a good thing for PC gaming, not a bad thing.

Where on Earth did you get this "developing rage on the xbox 360 then porting it over to the PC" idea from? The obvious fail here is that all games begin development on PC. So i'd like a link backing up this claim.

They invented FPS on a PC

all there games have been exclusive to the PC at same time or another

so many games have used ID's engines, all of ID's engines have been from their games that started on PC

Carmack is the creator of fps gaming doom and wolfenstein. I think he is the father of fps gaming. Now where did you got the info that they will port it from x360, because if it official i 100% respect you, pc has taken many consalazation hits latelly and litterly nothing impress me anymore. The state of consolazation that devs have done is painfull to an extreme rate. However this seems unreal to me, its way too much for me to believe. What i know is that carmack said that the game will be console focused, just like all games this gen, and it wont have dedicated servers. I'm an ID fan as much as the next person and because of that i don't see the problem. RAGE looks fantastic and old school, from the trailers you can even see it has that old school feel to the shooting, what you'd expect from an ID game, they haven't suddenly turned it into a CoD game or something, it will play how you expect a ID game to play, and look just as good.

I see PC gamers do that all the time: "you're just a consolite because you don't know any better. If you actually had played a PC game, you'd know." The responses always amuse me, ranging from awkward avoidance up to accusations of lying (hell, one of PC gaming's defenders accused me of fabricating not only a history of PC gaming, but my entire education and career).

The problem was the moderator who locked it was posting in the thread about PC or else I wouldn't have made a big deal. Eh I can't remember who it was but yea it kinda annoyed me. I don't really care though.
