MLB 24 heading to Gamepass again. I am not sure I trust MS when it comes to GamePass games.😎
Is this the only first-party game from Sony this year?
Just a word of warning. This game actually takes skill, lol. And a ton of practice. Can't just pick it up and expect to do well.
lmao sees one of playstations biggest games of the year will be on gamepass.
then see the show 2024. lmao wow ok so many sonys fans talking about this game.
PlayStation is going 3rd party..
yup because so many first party games coming to nin and xbox.

Marathon coming to Xbox as well. PS is going third party.

Yep! Both Sony and Microsoft are first and third-party developers. See how easy that was?🙃
definitely good to see PlayStation following the consumer-friendly practices of Xbox.. 👍

marathon was published by xbox studios when bungie was a xbox studio.
so funny how non of you know what third party means.
if sony releases a first party game on nin and xbox. sony would still be first party. because it will be still a first party game developed by a in house developer funded by sony.
now if you said sony is going multiplat then I say sony and xbox are already multiplat.
nin is the only one that is not multiplat.
so I guess xbox as been third party for years now.

you mean multiplat. even if sony made a first party game on xbox it still be first party.
first is a game developed in house. no matter what system its on.

Ah, no. Marathon was only on Mac, and it was published and developed by Bungie and Bandai. It had nothing to do with Xbox or MS.

MLB The Show used to be considered a "Sony Banger" until MLB told them that if they don't make the game available on all platforms, they'd lose the license.
So, your comment goes against SW history
@nod_calypse: It would be a bigger deal because the sport reaches billions, not millions.
Hopefully that cleared things up for you.
Lol, ah, dude.
Numbers don't matter, until, all of a sudden, they matter.
@nod_calypse: Keyword you missed there was "reaches" it would be a bigger deal because it would reach more people, nowhere did I mention sales. Cricket reaches billions while Baseball millions, thus this being about Cricket would be a bigger deal.
If you weren't so triggered because I called an American sport crap (we both know that's the real issue here for you) then you wouldn't post with emotion and confuse reach with sales 🤦♂️

Right. So, all those people it "reaches", need to buy the game to play it, right?
The rest of what you said is just verbal masturbation.
BTW, baseball is freaking lame.
The decision to put The Show on Xbox was done by MLB due to lackluster sales on PS systems alone. If I recall from Insomniac leaks, these licensing considerations are require some degree of commercial performance to keep the license holder happy or the risk of losing licensing exclusivity. Also from Insomiac leaks, the lion's share of the Marvel royalties to Disney come from the console bundles. It's not uncommon a console be bundled with a hit game seasonally. But it makes me wonder whether the Spider-Man bundles are crucial in keeping Disney satisfied to maintain exclusivity. The Show seems a cautious reminder to keep the license holder happy.
To that same effect, I'd be curious what conditions might exist for Microsoft's use of the Indiana Jones license. There was a rumor going around weeks or months ago that they were possibly licensing negotiation to Paramount's entire catalog. Wonder if they're related. For now though never heard anything else so maybe a dead end rumor there.
@last_lap: Lol. Love how you completely ignore the fact that I stated baseball, an American sport, is lame. In fact I think all American sports are lame, lol. And while MLB the show takes skill to play well, I can agree, no way in hell am I playing it.
As for the rest, let's sum up. You regularly say that sales don't matter, then turn right around and say that a cricket game will be a bigger deal because of "billions" of people it will reach. But, if it doesn't sell, then it's not a big deal. Therefore it has to sell to be a big deal, to the billions, as you say. In other words, you are implying those sales matter, after all.
You truly didn't think this through, which is nothing new for you, lol.
Its Baseball, just another c***** American sports game, nothing to see here folks.
I really do not get the sports bashing by fans of different sports. I think such behavior is childish and I often see this on this forum between association and American football fans.

With him it's that, but also more of an American bashing thing. Dude is obsessed with America, lol.
But yeah, a cricket fan bashing baseball for the sheer fact it's not cricket is truly doltish.
@nod_calypse: You wanna talk about not thinking it through. This thread is about a Baseball game being on Gamepass where it is has NOTHING to do with sales.
Hence why I said this is a nothing burger and nothing to see here.
YOU are the one who replied to my comment and brought up both Cricket and sales. That's on you.
Now you've gone from not liking Baseball to not liking any American sports to try and distance yourself from my comment, but we both know the truth here.
Maybe next time just let my comment go through to the keeper 🤣
@Pedro: No more Neanderthal than someone posting a thread on SW about Baseball is one of Playstations (not Sony's) biggest games of 2024, I mean the article is dumb, re-posting it evenis even worse 🤣
Those in glass houses and all that.
You felt targeted.
Haven't played a sports game in a looooooooooong time, but when I was little baseball games on the NES were always fun.
I'm sure they've changed a bit since then. Maybe.
@nod_calypse: Look, I just saw your post to that onesiphorus person.
you're the one who brought up cricket. I simply stated a fact, something you can't seem to be able to get over.
Build a bridge and get over it already.
Nowhere did I say Baseball was crap because it's not Cricket. Let it go already.
