Sounds like a pretty solid puzzler from the Serious Sam devs

I thought PC had no games though?
PC has more games than all the consoles combined. A lot of them are shit, but if you total up all the good ones PC still comes out on top.
@PernicioEnigma: true there are a lot of shit games, however there are still more good games on PC than all the consoles combined
Yep, that's what I said in my post.
LOFL, dude buy a tablet and download some free 'puzzle' games if that's AAAE to you.
AAA exclusive PC games this year for me: Divinity OS. List ends.
Shame it came out too late to be included in any game of the year awards. It's definitely my game of the year.

Well it's AAAE here...on Gamespot. That's how AAA/AA/A are decided
Yep I realise that. Gone Home, best game of all time says Gamespot. I have learned not to live my life by decisions borne of sheer lunacy.

Not directly but 9.5 for that game was just shameful. Dial the graphics down to zero, announce you're 'indie' and churn out any old crap and modern journos decide you are the stuff of legend. Tell them to just buy a fucking SNES and be done with it. Enemies of progression, modern journos are the 'grandmas and grandads' of videogaming adoring anything that looks like a videogame relic that would be laughed at alongside classics of the long forgotten eras they attempt to emulate.

So basically only people with millions of dollars in funding should make games?

Of course not but we now have a situation where the lazy talentless minority are making replicas of games from the 8 bit era which journos proclaim to be 'art' and encourage people to buy them if you don't see what the problem is there I have no way of explaining it to you.

I really don't see how this game and Gone Home are replicas of games from the 8 bit era.
Sounds to me like you are talking out of your rear end.

Actually, they're more like a bunch of fucking hipsters. I think many of todays gaming journalists cut their teeth on PS1 at the earliest. Not many old school peeps reviewing games out there which is why so many reviews are lacking in context and some of these guys are blown away by things that were done much better in years past.
That said, yeah I agree Gone Home was a fucking joke. I didn't even pay for the game and still somehow felt ripped off.
At the same time though, a great game is not determined by its visual presentation. Plenty of indie games, or mid-budget games do run circles around the AAA crowd. Having great game design and execution isn't always tied directly to the budget.

Apart from both being pointless minor diversions from 'proper' games no I'm sure you don't see it at all. Get your phone out and get gaming. You are the new generation.

Please explain how they're "lazy" and "talentless", I'd like you to go into full detail on that one.
Anyway, all I hear is someone whining on the internet because people are enjoying a game that they don't like. I think that sums up your entire argument quite nicely.

your rear end certainly has a lot to say.

Unless both games were reviewed by the same person, the scores are not directly comparable, even if they are both published on the same website.
I agree 100% that a single review alone shouldn't be what sways you into buying a game, but by the looks of it, this game is getting praise across the board, both by game critics and regular gamers posting reviews on Steam.

yay pepto bismol
Just finished it, quality puzzler up there with portal and antichamber. Tough, but well structured and fair. Pretty much no reflexes needed. Story is actually quite interesting.
Didn't start off that well, but it gets stronger and stronger. The best game from Croteam is not a shooter. There is hidden talent at that studio.

I need to play it NOW.
Also, 88 on MC. This game must be good
Also, can't wait for Serious Sam 4

Hopefully this game will help them fund Serious Sam and make it even better.

wasn't SS4 already planned for next year?
It was planned to release at the end of 2014 but so far we haven't even seen a single trailer for the game. I think they'll reveal it during gamescon or E3 next year.
Cool. It'll be on consoles in a few months like almost every other AAA"E" PC game out there
"Buh buh GTA ... we have nothing left"
"WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR!"
A single player puzzle game from the same makers of Serious Sam? That was not expected. Just picked up the game and look forward to playing it after work tomorrow :)

This happens far more to Xbox/PlayStation brands:
A quick look shows PC has the most aaaE/aaE/aE every year, sometimes more than multiple consoles put together (making your statement false). This also goes for non exclusives (total games).
But you won't respond to this. How could you? You got wrecked. You'll pretend you skipped over it, but You'll surely see it due to the notification system. ;)
Nice. I've been looking for a puzzle game that rivals Portal. I'll download the demo off of Steam later and give it a try.

Honestly, **** off with your shit.
Off-topic spam. Reported and Flagged.
I directly refuted the claim he made. Stay mad.

It blows my mind that websites finish their "GOTY" awards before the year is even over. Then try and say "oh well, the games released in late December will make it into the next year's lineup". I call bullshit.
