Officially confirmed PS State of Play will be announced today

I have no interest in Death Loop so I'm not looking forward to this State of Play.

Honestly kind of disappointed that this is their idea of a show during E3 season. It tells me they have nothing new that's ready to show yet and that means we're looking at a hell of a wait for something that interests me this gen.

There are a lot of things sony could show like Horizon forbidden west release date, GOW game play, death standard and ghost of tushima directors cuts to name a few things so yeah bummer we are getting this instead of death loop I am not really interested in at all but I will still watch it. Sony has been like nintendo sense last year in that they just announce stuff in like a random way now lol.

Is that seriously the show they've been so secretive about and people have been hyping? No way right?

I hoped for an actual 1h+ show that talks about the future of Playstation. Where is this at?

@hardwenzen: Yeah, that's what we all hoped for. Sony, apparently, doesn't have anything to show and aren't willing to tell people why they need to buy a PS5.

Perhaps at this point, PS5 needs to start floundering in sales so it lights a fire under Sony's ass again.

Deathloop looks better and better everytime! This island looks like it will be a blast to navigate.... so much verticality. You can see the world building influence from Prey.

It was announced for PS5 before the acquisition was even a thing when MS bought Arkane as part of Bethesda, so Phil is honoring the contract with Sony to let them have first dibs on it then it will come to Xbox Series X later down the road.

Looks like this show was really all about responding to all the allegations that Sony have been mistreating indies.

Holy shit Deathloop looked bad. Not only gameplay wise, but the visuals are outdated af. Where is that "only possible on a ps5" at??????????? And has anyone else noticed how pixelated/low res the guns muzzle flash is? The game must be running sub 1080p in performance mode and is upscaled. Just look at this shit wtf

I think its absolutely clear now, why Sony is not attending E3 anymore. Incase that was still in question. That's even if you combine all of PlayStation's State of Plays for the entire year.

Yeah, the indies will always be there. I don't know why everybody thinks they have to lean in on them so hard. But, this was the indie show, and it's not like there's any big fanfare for it.

People need to stop shitting on Sony skipping E3, E3 stop being E3 when social media started to really take off and its why Nintendo left first before Sony. Doing your own show at anytime has never been better and this State of Play proves E3 is no longer needed for any publishers, even EA is recognized this.
