Uh ? Gears doesn't even use AA.

Halo 3 doesent seem too.

When you considerthe graphics, consider how much is going on at once, the draw distance, and the fact that the game is recording every frame of the entire level in HD so that you can go back and take snapshots. All these things considered, it looks better than Gears comparatively.

Im playing through it on Heroic and its reasonably challenging. If I didnt act like a douche and keep meleeing guys i'd probably spending less time lol.

Choppyness...in Halo

halo 1 and 2 had no problems, but in some of the larger indoor environments, and the multiplayer map Pit, I detect severe framerate stutters pretty much constantly. very dissapointing.

Those were pretty intense scenes though - loads of vehicles, and explosions. I guess its a good thing Bungie ditched AA in order to retain a pretty decent frame rate.

Still doesent excuse those ugly 'long distance' /horizon visuals. Freaking woeful. Thank god some areas look much better.

Oh yea and IGN Australia gave Halo 3 8.9/10, and the gaming TV show here 'Good Game' gave it 8/10 and 8.5/10. A bit harsh, but does make me question my own score of 9.5 given to Halo 3..........

It took me between 14 to 15 hours to beat it on Heroic.

nintendogs and wii sports gathered the attention of the whole world more than halo 3, yet those games still get bashed. I don't see why halo 3 should be any different.
