next gen system last of their kind??

I was thinking about how far gaming has came in the past ten years, and it got me wondering about the future. Such as, in the next 10 yeears how will gaming unfolding? Do u think the next round of consoles will be the last subjected to a monitor like a lcd tv, do u think we will ever embark on the realm virtual gaming such as a headset that completly inmerses u in the game.

Headset? Too problematic to ever be practical IMO. On the other hand it won't be long before we see a wave of "autosteroscopic" displays hitting the market. I can easily see this being the next "big trend" in televisions, following the move to HDTV.

I also see voice recognition controls hitting the mainstream with a decade.
