This is a much better list then was given by another topic creater, i left out COD4 because a blind monkey can play that game and still get kills. For me it would be SOCOM followed by Counter Strike.

[QUOTE="kidcool189"]counter strike 1.6...duhPinkyimpWhat is the point of this thread?. Counterstrike...and why the hell are THESE games on the list?, where is Battlefield, RO, Q3A, Unreal Tournament 2k4?. Im tired of these "Flavor of the month" FPS's on these list's. I totally agree. Seriously wtf, Halo and Gears are not the only "good" shooters in existence...

WTF u want to go back as far as 99 or maybe the first Quake? Counter Strike doesnt take that much skill anyways, maps are pretty simple get a Razer mouse and u can do headshoots all day. BF 2 yea i forgot about that, but i had to include some console shooters anyways. Try playin any SOCOM game then talk to me, and i did play all the games you listed.
counter strike 1.6...duhkidcool189This, still manage to make most of my kills headshots though :P KB/M YAY! So i guess thats socom?
yeah cs by far, alot of times there are ppl that will play on a server for hours and not even get a kill because everyone else is so good and has been playing since like 1998

CS is a simple game. What makes it extremey difficult and require alot of skill is due to it's userbase. The average CS player is really good at the game. So making yourself stand out amongst them requires extreme skill. Also if you are new to CS you will just get owned...hard even on noob servers.
I just finished watching some CS videos on youtube and just want to know what exactly makes getting kills in that game difficult? It looks like your typical respawn FPS.
W1NGMAN-
There is no respawn in CS until the round is over unless your specifically playing on a server modded for DM. What makes getting kills difficult is that the person you're trying to kill will kill you first 95% of the time if you are new to the game. Getting on par with the average CS player takes a long time if you're just starting CS. Like I said before, it's the average skill of the userbase that makes CS extremely difficult.
1- CounterStrike 2- Halo*gasp* 3- Socom so many other games more than gears in fact Halo and socom shouldn't be there either Where is Red Orchastra? where is Unreal 2k4? where is Quake? hell Team Fortress 2 takes way more skill than that list outside of Counterstrike. jg4xchampI definitely agree with Quake and Unreal. TF2 is skillful, but again, more team based than anything.

Yep! Takes few bullets for somebody to die.Sorry TC, but your list sucks too. Sure those games are fun, but they aren't as skillful as many others.
No one here has any skills, so you're asking the wrong people. I can pm you with the answers if you need them.

Yep! Takes few bullets for somebody to die.Alright, so essentially CS and Socom share a lot of the same traits.... both have no re spawn, revolve around realism, and have some really strong user bases. Gotcha.
[QUOTE="ReaperV7"]besides that list......warhawk, battlefield 2, resistance 1, and metal gear onlineDBhova23Forgot about Warhawk.. Resistance 1 single player was difficult because of the lack of checkpoints.. if you die you have to go back like 15 mins in a level. Nah, Resistence shot like a more difficult version of COD.
Hey, dont bash, just cos the crosshairs dont move, sniping for headshots is difficult on that. And the laser takes some skills too.Who the hell choose Halo? Lol.

I'm sure you're allowed the list some....so let us know what games you're referring to.
Yes I'm sure you are aloud to list some just like you could've listed some in the other thread. But the TC decided to make a whole new thread because he thinks his is better. I'm saying it's not. One thread on the subject is enough, this is completely unnecessary.
i played counterstrike on the xbox and it was the worse fps i played since thenbayareahusla
That's because you played on Xbox, PC CS ftw. Anyways CS is the hardest therefore takes the most skill. I'm lucky if I can get 3 kills in one match. Halo, Gears, anything else I can come in first easily, so yeah, CS takes the most skill.
This thread is fail. No UT99 or 2k4? quake? q3a? why the hell is gears 1 OR 2 even on here....HALO?!
LOL

You have to aim and control the recoil effectively. Range is a huge thing that has to be compensated for in that game. Guns react entirely differently within different range spheres. A TMP is deadly in a building but useless over distance, spread is important, etc. The fact that you have to control the AK's bullet output to essentially semi automatic or two-round burst just to clear someone's skull at range and you can't make a shot even at mid to moderate range with a spray and pray indicates that you have to have somewhat of a handle on how to use the guns. And like others are saying there's a really big skill ceiling in that game.i never saw how counter strike takes so much skill. maybe its just me?
