PC is the system you got for high skill cap competitive games. Which is why it makes up 99% of e-sports or regular competitive gaming in general. It has dozens across more genres with millions of more players. Shooters on console relies on slow and inaccurate thumb sticks, that takes them out of the equation. Yes, fighters are up there, just the issue is they aren't as numerous or widely played - and still don't quite have the necessarily skill requirements.

This study cracked me up at first too. I don't doubt Xbox gamers are better than PS. But it is unfair to hand a PC gamer a controller and expect them to be as good when they play almost exclusively on mouse and key board. And vice versa asking a console gamer to be abler to take to mouse and keyboard after always playing with a controller.

I have no doubts head to head against mouse and keyboard anyone playing with a controller will be Annihilated! That's why I refuse to play against anyone like that.

You thinking fighters, which actually require far more skill than any single button press shooter, somehow don't measure up to simple point and click games shows that you don't understand what "skill" actually requires.

High level fighting game players are actually able to count single frames in-between constant exchanges of interactions.

They have to constantly predict moves moments ahead of opponents, execute and juggle multiple complex combination strings among various characters, have pin point timing, maintain the highest reactionary reflex to counter move in-between frames, and be able to execute all movements perfectly in order to even be considered top tier. You honestly don't have a clue about a high level of anything if you try to dismiss the skills of high level fighting game players.
