New Bioware game [Update] another new trailer

Mass Effect and Dragon Age studio BioWare may announce a brand new IP at GamesCom, if a teaser site and trailer launched by EA is any indication.

The website, You've Been Chosen.com, is working intermittently. It states: "The time is near. They are watching. Your power is rising. Cologne, Germany. You've Been Chosen."

Gamescom 2014 will take place in Cologne from August 13-17.

In September 2012, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed a Mass Effect 3 follow-up, which he said was in development alongside a new IP "built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology".

"Both Dragon Age and Mass Effect started as single games but grew into vast universes. But we aren't stopping there," he said.

"While Casey [Hudson] continues to oversee the development of our new Mass Effect project, he and his leads are putting together their vision for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology."

Earlier this year EA filed a trademark for something called Shadow Realms.

VideoGamer reports that e-mails sent out to select people pointing them to the trailer contains an image names "ShadowRealms_Teaser_video.jpg".

Hopefully it won't be another social justice simulator . Ah ... who am I kidding , it's Bioware .

Got an email yesterday from Bioware saying I have been chosen and thought saweet what is this and then found it was just this vid damit. :P Looks cool tho.

It's certainly intriguing. Especially since Bioware hasn't put out a new IP since Dragon Age in 2009 (I don't think?)

KOTOR is beyond reproach. The Mass Effect series is fantastic. Neverwinter Nights, Baulder's Gate, Dragon Age: Origins.

Remember the most important part: Just because system-reboot doesn't like something that in no way means that thing is not amazing.

Star Wars: KOTOR (94 in Metacritic and GOTY 2003)

Mass Effect (91 in Metacritic)

Dragon Age: Origins (91 in Metacritic, won a lot of GOTYs that year).

Mass Effect 2 (96 in Metacritic, GOTY 2010 and one of the most beloved games of the past generation).

Yeah, BioWare has never made a good game. DA II, their only bad game, defines them.

Hell ya gimmie some more of that Bioware greatness. I am looking forward to see or knowing more but I am sure I will love it.

I got it too. I'll give the game a chance because I Love Mass Effect.

That teaser did nothing for me, enough of these live action teasers/trailers for video games FFS!!!

The only game that actually did a live action teaser that didn't suck was Hotline Miami.
