My cousin wants to sell his 360 in order to buy a ps3....

He had his 360 for 4 years already (he's 13 now), he recently went to a friend of his and played on his ps3 and he finds that the graphics are much better.
(he compared modern warfare 2)

Now he wants to sell his 360 so he can buy a ps3. I bought him a year of xbl, hes got 7 months of it left. I play onhis 360 alot and i dont want him to sell it.... I dont have money to buy it from him.

How do i convince him to NOT sell it? =(

MW2 runs better and has better graphics on the 360 then the PS3.

Graphics wise:

Multiplats=360

Exclusive=PS3

Pay him his PS3 money and tell him to leave the Xbox 360 with you.

I honestly bought my 360 off my little brother when he was selling it. If his main selling point is technology, tell him that he's going to miss all his XBL freinds. He probably doesn't know anyone with a PS3 at that age, I know I don't and I'm 3 years older! Tell him he is also going to miss out on unnanounced games. He's going to love his PS3 until he turns on his PC to see that a new game was announced that he is GOING to want. That's why I kept my Wii, something will come along. Its been a year but I haven't sold it.....

Just try to make it appeal to who he is. If he's social, talk XBL, if he's about the games, make a list. If all else fails, pick up inFamous and Uncharted with your new PS3. Great games!

You could just get your own 360 (from him for cheap) and let him do what he wants.

mw2 looks really bad on the ps3 the 360 is proabably just as bad so low res and blurry. By any chance does he happen to play his 360 on a 1080p tv and when u went to his freinds house it was 720p tv? if so that would explain why he thinks it looks better since mw2 is running at 640P on the consoles so it would look less blurry.

Not worth it. Both consoles are practically the same and both have outdated hardware. If its graphics he wants he needs a PC.

I find the suggestion that hardware that is so productive, while not as advanced, is outdated. The hardware is far from over the hill.

The graphics for MW2 are actually better on the 360, did you even look at GS's graphics comparison? Tell him to get his eyes checked, and then tell him to blog it like the other guy here said.

He'll probably sell some of the games he has. If not then his mother will pay for the rest most likely

This. It's never smart to sell one system for another. He'll have justas much fun with his Xbox36 than he would with aPs3. At least if you get both, you can't go wrong there and can get all the exclusives.

Seriously, the PS3 is a beast of a console. If he only seen mw2, just wait till he sees Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, demon souls, ratchet and clank, god of war collection, god of war 3, sacred 2, LBP, Ninja gaiden sigma 2, heavenly sword , warhawk, etc... There are much better games on the ps3 then mw2. If you own the ps3 you have a little something called exclusives and you don't need to rely on multiplats as much (there still fun , but a lot of the exclusives jaw dropping for console).

I attend a university, i cant have a job and go to school at the same time. I have a Wii. I invested in his 360 also, bought him RE5, FEAR 2, MW2, a headset, and XBL. Exclusives? He's an FPS type of kid. He lives 2 minutes away from me, and i like to play on XBL alot, I bought XBL for us both to enjoy.

Go buy Mass Effect 2. Play it in front of him. Nuff sed. Of course, if hes the usual FEEBLE MINDED american 13 year old. Than idk about Mass Effect. The combat is good this time around though. So idk. Also throw some multiplat comparisons at him. Or just let him dislike ps3's bland services. lolz

Uhhh if he like FPS than the 360 is the obvious console. Tell him Halo Reach comes out this year, that should definitley change his mind.

Yea, of the examples of "Superior" multiplats, MW2 is one of the worst.

Basically, lems hold onto the "Superior multiplats" myth just as much as cows hold onto GSs "best technical graphics"

My cusin personally whats to trade in his ps3 for a Snes....i mean hell we still haven't breached all the secrets of the snes which is factually more powerful then all the systems released since the snes combined....I dont know why we stopped using the snes...probably cause it was so powerful we could never fully understand it.....

Stop being selfish TC.... I know it is hard to understand right now...but this is what happens when you do business with children, they will cross you at any moment....you can't expect commitment from the little ones, they do what they want....even at your expense... and if you try explaining this to his parents or anyone else, you will look like the fool......as far as that 7months of Live.....just take it as a loss and play for free on the PSN...

you just make sure he doesn't spend too much on a HDMI cable..(go to monoprice)....and get Motorstorm PR...and you, him, and 2 others can play some 4player mayhem.

Also, someone posted earlier that the 360 is the FPS consoles.....last gen yes, this gen...I don't know... M.A.G, Resistance, Killzone, Punisher(PSN) and all the muliplats that the 360 has.....3rdPS...Warhawk, Uncharted, etc.

Also, if he likes Baseball, he can get AAA series MLB The Show 2010 (Mar. 2nd)

Do you know that ps3 exclusives (MGS4, UC2) are not very good? Because is like interactive movies, no freedom at all, and extremely linear.

It is NEVER a bad idea to get a PS3 if you have the opportunity.

your cousin must already have at least 2/3 of the purchase price if he can sell his old 360 to get a new PS3.
