Many scenes from FFVIII.
and *Spoilers that no one really cares about*
Aeris' death in FFVII stands out, as well as the destruction/recreation/alteration scene of the world in FFVI.
final fantasy 7 ;)pro-nathan-07
This scene is supposed to be the most heart-wrenching scene in the game, yet it looks so ridiculous that it's to the point that it's laughable. This is just one of many scenes that try to pull at your heart strings, but unless you're a really sensitive or gullible person, or simply have never read or seen better storytelling, the "touching" moments won't have much affect on you.
Chrono Trigger.PiNwOrMBingo! Especially the ending when everyone is leaving to their respective time periods.
Oh and the Andrew Ryan scene in BioShock.
Bingo! Especially the ending when everyone is leaving to their respective time periods.[QUOTE="PiNwOrM"]Chrono Trigger.Aljosa23
I won't lie. I consider myself a man, but I f**king cried at the end after everyone left and crono and marle were on the balloons. (that was the first ending I got).
truly one of the greatest games of all times.

Yeah the ending of FF8 had more of an effect on me than FF7 did.
*SPOILERS*
When Squall wasn't there in the last cutscene, it affected me.
Although what happened to Eli in Episode 2 actually made me shed a tear.
[QUOTE="jethrovegas"]The ending scene of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was quite compelling.bellsmye1I LOVE half life 2 but I really cant get emotionally attatched to the characters, so the ending didnt really affect me apart from being sad that the awesomeness was over.
Same.. half-life is one of my - if not my favourite franchise in the game industry, yet I just can't care at all for the characters. My thought when it happened to eli was sad at first, because episode 2 was over, but then I thought "well.. at least I don't have to listen to him talk anymore"
Shadow of the Colossus no doubt. Every time you put down a colossi you actually felt bad about you actions but you had no other choice, the music really helped convey tthe message of sadness whenever a colossi bit the dust. The ending was also amazing and sad too.Swift_Boss_AAh I forgot about this game. The best thing on PS2 in my opinion. The game just felt emotional. A freakin masterpeice.
Mass Effect. I was so pissed at the council that I let them die at the end, even though I was going the way of the paragon and I knew that I would get renegade points for it. bobderwood97_1
Spoiler much?

My bad, I didn't even think of that, I edit it. how do you make one of those spoiler pop-up things?
Andrew Ryan's final scene in Bioshock and the end of Killer 7. Both had me seriously thinking for a long time. Hell, I bought No More Heroes, and I still feel the mental influences of Killer 7's sheer depth and mind-bending themes.
SotC and Eternal Sonata also got to me as well, but more emotionally than mentally which I guess is the actual point of this topic.

ps3wizard45
I really was thinking both of those...
When I saw both of them...all you can really do is just sit there...
CoD4- That ending almost had me tearing :(
Mass effect- Again the ending of the bad side (I forgot what its name was) reminded me of the ending to Star wars ep 3 when the "empire" is taking over
KOTOR 2 - After kreia betrayed me (I was darkside btw) I was actually pissed and wanted revenge
Halo 3: I felt bad when
*******SPOILER ALERT*******
Johnson and Miranda keyes died :( :(

Its still there in the first time you quoted him... ahhh damn.
The ending scene of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was quite compelling.jethrovegas
i think this was a little more emotional than others. half life does the amazing job of getting you very emotionally involved with the characters with is great, but when something like that happens, i felt so sad afterward , and angry. i want episode 3 already so i can pay the combine back for that
also the end of COD4 was pretty heavy to bare. what a very emotional scene.
HL2 Episode 2: God... that sucked, I felt so bad for Alex...
Mass Effect: Jesus, I never been so involved with a game. The last couple of hours in this game is emotionally gripping/intense.
Chrono Trigger - Nuff said...
FFX ending - This made me tear a little, I'm a man, I admited it... I have no shame.
COD4 - very similar to what I said about Mass Effect...pure intensity.
The huge decision regarding your party members in Mass Effect
