Metal Gear Survive is a good game

It's just a shame that the Kojima dickriders already decided it was shit before it even came out. Sooner y'all realize that Kojima is a hack, the better you can objectively judge his videogames.

That extra save slot costs a whole lot of money to implement. They force a Konami 'employee' to handcraft the code for your copy.

Yep it is. It is so much better than Phantom Pain for me:

1.The open world was done so much better than the boring empty map of V.(At least you can find a lot of things and exploring is both dangerous and rewarding)

2.Building and improving the outpost camp is much more enjoyable than making the mother base.(You have more freedom in it and there is more things to do there compare to the lifeless Motherbase)

3.This game has limited stamina and real HP system which is better than the unlimited stamina and regenerating HP in V.

4.And combat in this game is much better than the cover shooting combat in V.

5.And finally this game has Coop which Phantom Pain didn't have.

It is a good game. It's a real shame what the tabloid YouTubers have created: hate mobs foaming at the mouth. They've been poking this bear since Kojima fudged up MGSV and they blamed Konami. There's no way this game was going to be given a fair chance. It's a six, maybe a seven. When I start up a game hours fly by without me noticing. I recommend it to anyone who is slightly interested in survival mechanics mixed with metal gear.

Keep in mind I am a metal gear apologist. I bought a PSP just to play the Acid games and I own several copies of all the metal gears. Including a signed copy of MGS4 by Kojima himself.

This game is like BOTW. In that, you only need on save slot. I know this may come as a shock to many people but you can...wait for it...NOT PURCHASE THE SAVE SLOT and still enjoy the game. The same way I played MGSV and never touched the stupid online portion of the game.

I've no doubt it's a flawed but fun game that nobody will bother to give any credit for what it does right, it was destined to be this way considering all the hate it was going to get for having no Kojima, using the Fox Engine and Metal Gear name, and "microtransactions!!!", and the internet pretty much had it out for this game long before release. That being said, though I might want to try in future, it's hardly something I'm gonna spend money on now considering the line-up dropping in coming weeks, plus I got my backlist to contend with for now. I'll hold out hope it'll be on GamePass.

God forbid someone who actually wants to make another character, cos, I dunno, some people like to do that in a game they paid full price for...but in order to do that they have to delete the character they've invested much time and effort into, or if they don't want to do that they have to pay an extra $10. 1. Filling empty spaces with zombies isn't exactly my idea of exciting, besides it takes away the immersion of being in a war zone, its kind of unreasonable to expect town quests in a setting like that.

2. Never cared about mother base, will most likely not care about outpost camps, I'm only interested in sneaking missions, so this is moot.

3. I agree that a limited stamina would have made things more interesting for MGS5, don't know why they removed it from MGS3 and MGS4, as for regenerating health, who cares?

4. You think attacking with spears is more fun than gun play? have you played any MGS games before?

Haven't played it but it seems like a good game, just not by Metal Gear standards. But since it IS a Metal Gear game, it is expected to be, therefore it's a bad game.

Haven't played it, but there might be some truth to what you say. I saw a livestream of IGN playing the game and something that bothered me was that 5 minutes in he was already saying it "I don't like it. It's not MGS". Which makes me think there was bias. Lol, mgs5 was basically not mgs, either.

As a metal gear veteran...and apologist...who has played and beaten both acids and portable ops (aka metal gear pokemon) and peace walker...good lord how is THAT game critically acclaimed? And as someone who put down Rising after maybe two or three hours....(got boring...you wanna talk about something NOT being metal gear? That's frigging it.)

Can you acquire a save slot in Metal Gear Survive without paying money?

Yeah, save up the free SV coins you get daily. With 1k you can unlock the new save slot.

1.First Metal Gear surVive was not supposed to be in a war zone and secondly Phantom Pain failed to create a realistic war zone.(It was too peaceful and even Mercenaries 1 game on PS2 managed to capture the immersion of the war zone much better)

And thirdly they just didn't filled the map with zombies. They also added foggy places which force you to use O2 tanks and you lose the sense of direction in those areas. They also added containers for unlocking new stuff which encourage the players to exploring unlike what the Phantom Pain did.

2. Well this game was supposed to be a survival a little horror game than a true stealth game so...

3.Regenerating HPs just allow the players to fight enemies without any real penalty since going in cover just heals your wounds.

4.Yep it's more fun because the combat in PP(Outside it's bossfights) was a simple cover shooter where you should just move in covers, wait for the enemies to stop shooting , get out of cover,shoot and repeat until you kill all enemies. At least with spears you have to be careful about enemies attacks and dodge them if necessary.
