Make a bold prediction for next-gen

I have more than one:

Bungie will disappoint with Destiny and it won't come anywhere close to the success of Halo.

Respawn Entertainment(headed by the creators of COD4) will disappoint with the release of Titanfall, and will not come anywhere near redefining the FPS multiplayer genre like they did with COD4.

Nintendo will announce a next-gen successor to the Wii/Wii U which will be released in 2015.

PS4 is really a mini-dirty bomb, and we all die. The end.

I think that is expected!

Destiny and Watch Dogs will be two of the biggest flops of 2014. Xbox One will sell more than PS4 at launch, however PS4 will sell more in the long run.

It will be another generation of fanboys arquing superiority when in fact Xbox one and PS4 will sell very well with plenty of games on both consoles, PS4 games better graphics and Xbox One will be better at everything else.

Wii U will make some headway but will be a distant 3rd.

Titanfall will be GOTY 2014 and Microsoft will pay for it to stay off PS4.

COD will sell better on PS4 but be outsold by Titanfall.

Microsoft will shut down Xbox at the request of investors

Nintendo will keep Nintendoing

Sony will sell a lot of PS4s, but it won't matter because competition from smartphones and tablets will be too much for them to handle.

Following all this, nobody will be making consoles by 2020.

Xbox One will be the biggest selling console of all time! It will sell more than PS4 and Wii U combined!

Xbone will flop and MS will leave gaming.

I also expect some big name games to flop. Titanfall, Ryse, and maybe even Watch Dogs have a high chance of bad review scores.

Interesting topic. Let's see if I can come up with something highly possible but unlikely.

Sony will continue to fall on hard times. PS4 won't make a dent in their financials and will essentially be a wash because gains will come from software. The fact that the bigger games won't release till mid 2014, will further exacerbate the problem. Credit problems will cause supplier shortages which will hinder sales for the first and second quarter of next year.

Maybe not fail in terms of sales, but in my opinion, expectations will compare those two games to the Halo and Call of Duty series. I just don't see those games separating themselves enough from prior installments and becoming game-changers. But this is why I call it bold predictions.

PS VITA becomes a success.

Nintendo becomes 3rd party.

Gran Turismo 7 Releases in 2015.

PS+ is widely accepted as the superior online experience.

EA will drop support for Xbox One just like they did with the WiiU because of lack of sales.

Next year, the PS4 will get map packs first for the next COD game because the PS4 will have a much larger install base than Xbox One.

This. Or maybe even a 9.5 or 10 for Ryse.

Prediction: Killer Instinct (XBOX ONE) gets at least a 9 on Gamespot, maybe even a 9.5 or 10.

Another prediction: Killzone Shadow Fall gets at least a 8.5 on Gamespot, maybe even a 9, 9.5, or 10.

GT6 appears in next gen form mid 2014 with the ability to transfer stuff from ps3 versio

GTA 6 comes out 2015, and has been worked on since late 2012 and Agent's been dropped and ideas merged into GTA.

The Last Guardian releases. You did say "bold" but perhaps I'm pushing it.

This will be the last traditional gen where you buy a box with static hardware which lasts for 5+ years.

Sucker Punch to take the spot light from Naughty Dog.

RPG's to rival Shooters in popularity and sales, Survival Horrors to make a huge jump in popularity.

GTA VI to be Vice City sequel.

Kojima to create a new IP (Can't get any bolder than this lol)

Next Elder Scrolls to outsell COD.

After a promising start lacklustre sales for both Sony and MS going in the new year .

Lots of early overheating probs for Sony and Kinect and network problems for MS .

MS dropping prices fast, losing mandatory Kinect and selling a smaller bare Boned ( pun intended ) Xbox one by next September .

Nintendo really in trouble, most devs abandoning Wii-U and focus only on Handhelds before next year ends , Iwata on welfare .

Sega and Nintendo in bed together release a rebranded Wii-U as MegaFamicom, a digital download only platform and slowly release their complete backlog on it with some new games .

Haha, I don't know if discontinued. I think Nintendo continue with a few more price drops and then re-visioning it as nothing more than an HD version of the current gen Wii, rather than marketing it as a next-gen console. They will then move forward and restructure from top to bottom and eventually come up with a true next-gen successor in 2015.

I'll make three.

Nintendo will remain in first place. Sony will sell their gaming division to Google. MSoft will sell 100 million consoles.

Wii U and Vita will outsell Xbone outside of United States

PS4 will decimate.

Steambox will push either Nintendo or Microsoft out of the console market.

The 3DS will out-pace/outsell all of the next-gen consoles.
