Let's get this straight, Lems. PS3 is matching 360 sales........ (56K is weak)

PS3 is matching 360 sales at this point in its life after launch.  That is shown below by the chart taken from VGCharts.

Whats funny about it all is that PS3 has only a percentage of the quantity of games that the 360 does and it is still selling as good.  Also, 360 had no competition, zero, for the first year of its life.  PS3 had an already established console and a console taking the world by storm to compete with.

And PS3 still matches the 360 at this point in its life!!!  So remember this next time you want to holler about sales or quantity of games.

The PS3 had about the same amount of games the 360 had at that time in its life, also how did the 360 have no competition, it was still up against the PS2 which was cheap and had a lot of games.

Well same can be said babout Halo 3, Mass effect, Gears of War 2, ect.

Can you deny that Mass Effect, GTA (a multiplat), and Halo 3 are three of the biggest titles to be released that fall? UT can't hurt either, and it's cheaper to get a 360 to play both those mutiplats.

I'm not saying the PS3 has no good games, I'm jsut saying it may be a difficult few months. Stop playing with your "jump to conclusions" mat.

this holiday season will be interesting indeed, lets not forget that the 360 is totally dead in japan. so that basically an entire region of the world that they don't have. the ps3 is doing well in all region and thats without any AAA titles. so we shall wait and seeKlash47

Well idk about dead, its got a little life to it and it might pick up a little bit more after the other RPG's are released, but yeah the Wii dominates the console and hand held market in Japan.

These threads are always self ownage on cows. They claim that the PS3 is selling as well as the 360 with little to no games. Well um thank you for admitting that your console is inferior to another.

Two problems with posts like this . PS3 can't catch up if its just meeting the 360 sales. It needs to surpass them and by large margins if it ever hopes to catch up.

Basically all you did was admit that it has lacking games and then say that the PS3 is matching the 360's sales. Which by a two time defending champ isn't reallypressive at all.

These are world wide numbers. Everyone knows big M has only sold like what 500,000 in japan? And sony is at what like 1, 1.5 mil in japan? You should look into a rename of this topic. Ps3 in 3 regions barely keeps up with 360 in 2.

How about this lemmings...your console despite a market lead still is in the red....it has been ever since Xbox 1....MS has taken millions of losses from hardware production and 1 Billion dollars from a design choice....

 1.  If anyone drops out of this race, its SONY, the PS3 is getting killed out their. (I don't believe any console will drop out, but there will be a first, second and last place)

 2. At the rate the consoles are selling, the PS3 will stay in last place, SONY needs the PS3 to go on a selling spree to catch up.

Uh I dont think any lemming cares if MS is in the red, that does not effect the games that will be on that console.  :|

The 360 sold what 176,000 units last month and the PS3 sold 82,000 units. So the PS3 will catch the 360 when? :lol: It won't be this year and maybe not next year either.

The PS3 is not matching the 360 sales. People keep forgetting the 360 had shortages for the first 5 months, while the PS3 didn't. The PS3 is actually selling worse because they only sold a few thousand more units then the 360 the first 3 months and they had NO shortages. The PS3 should have sold at least 200K-300K more in the 1st 3 months, not 3,000 more. As we stand right now in the month of May, the 360 is well ahead of the PS3 in sales.

Lol, apparently Cows wouldn't make very good statisticians.  The PS3 is clearly trending  to a pattern of consistently lower sales than the X360.  Even the boost of the European launch (SONYLAND as you cows have been proclaiming it) could barely keep it on par with the X360 sales.  I would imagine that cows will no longer want to use this graph in a few months, as the PS3 continues to trend downward.

Well, if this chart is legit (which I have my doubts).... 

Two things;

1) If the PS3 continues to merely sell 'just as well' as the 360, it's NEVER going to catch up

2) The 360 was still in minimal supply at this point in life. If another well-supplied console sales just as well as a console that isn't in good supply...not good for the former console.

Who is in denial. The PS3 should be at least close to the Wii sales and they're not. Wii is outselling the PS3 3 to 1. What's funny is the Wii doesn't have a lot of exclusive great titles out yet either and their still blowing the PS3 away all over the world.

When MS finally subscribes to blu-ray.  Or to some high capacity disc.  They'll have to do something with the quality of titles PS3 will have with the technology it was given at launch.

None of what you say is factual and you have no basis to prove them. Heck I could say the PS3 would never catch up and lose support due to sales but hey that's just speculation right. But heres some help if thats what you truely believe.

Here's some help though. You could...

1. Ask Santa
2. Wish on a magic lamp
3. Wish on a shooting star
4. Or a wishing well 

Because all of your points are speculation guess what, that doesn't equate to a fact.
