Killzone 2 y Gears of War 2, the top of graphical tech in consoles?

Both standards of Next-Gen have turned out to be shooters, and both have become graphical examples of visual power of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You consider that with these two great games we have already touched the graphical ceiling of this new gen consoles? They will be able to reached a new visual level over the years? , What do you think?

They both look good. both use different techniques and sacrifices some aspects to make other aspects look good, example, KZ2 sacrifices textures for lighting and they used motion blur to hide the dull textures, but the whole game looks good despite this, well the explosions were meh but oh well.

Uncharted 2 and GT5 will look better than KZ2

This not going to end well.

IMO Kameo, a 2005 game remains a force when comparing visuals. That said, SCC, Alan wake, GOW3 & Uncharted2 and who knows what else are yet to come. :D

I do think the the visual upgrades to the games offered for both 360/PS3 will not be too major from this point forward but still, I can't wait to see a game in say 2011/2012 will offer in both visuals and game play on both these systems. Obviously the PC stuff will start to more & more out pace the consoles but only gamers willing to stay upgraded on PC will get to appreciate the best this gen has to offer.

I think were gonna crown a few graphic kings in the next year and a half or so... with one having a good chance of passing the other after it gets released. Mass Effect 2, Uncharted, GT5, GOW 3, FFX13 and FFXV13

resident evil 5 is like resident evil 4 in high resolution with better models.

the world textures are so flat and last gen it's not even funny.

But yet, in the end KZ2 looks better than Gears 2 :lol:. It doesn't matter what techniques are used, it's all about the end product.

i agree it's got a great atmosphere, but most of killzone2's textures were made to look at from a distance, while gears of war 2 look better upclose.

in gears of war you got 2nd person view to get crosshair/shoot ur gun and it makes ur screen zoom in at textures so probley one of main reasons.

Yes, Killzone 2 graphics are pretty good,but i don't think they are that special, like most people are saying they are. I think Resident Evil 5 graphics are better, i really do. I don't know if it is because of the style of the graphics, but on PS3, Uncharted graphics have more appeal to me than Killzone 2 graphics. Just my opinion.

lol to that... doesn't look the same... The PC is higher rez with AA, which makes it look about 10x better than it is
