Killer Instinct story mode won't be available at launch will come later

I know some people are going to say, WHO PLAYS FIGHTERS FOR STORY MODE. But come on can you not see how this basically tells you that this game is launching and it's not even finished? It's single player mode isn't even coming out till next year. I know it's a free 2 play model but jeez this is sloppy. 

This does not bode well.

When they are so obviously rushing the release, the already questionable gameplay becomes out right concerning.

Why on earth did Microsoft pick this Dev!?

Not care for fighter stories ? Like Ryu fought sagat and gave him his scar ? like sub-zero killed scorpion and then later on scorpion kills sub-zero and he turns into noob saibot? Like baison wanted to take over Ryu's body as a host for his over growing energy that was destroying his own body ryu being host to an even more powerful dark energy? Like Lui kang died and we were all happy ?

It's becoming clear that they are rushing it for the console launch. People should avoid this until sometime well into 2014 when it will actually be a complete game, with the bonus of knowing if it's good or not.

Apparently Microsoft is to blame for this because production for this game only began late last year and Microsoft is set on making the game a launch title. I've heard from the developers that they're focusing on making the gameplay the best it can possibly be, which is why there's not a lot of characters and content.

This game just keeps sounding worse and worse, lol.

I like much about this game, it looks like a faitful reboot to the series , but about everything MS could F up on this they seem to be doing.  Its a classic case why I hate when MS gains the rights to studios and game franchises.  You made what could be a great fighting game into a pay to play gimmick.  Why not wait a couple months and release a full game instead of only releasing 8 characters with no story mode.

I know it sounds alien to hardcore fighter fans, but the rest of us really want a story mode.

If you think story modes can't be good in fighting games, just look at Mortal Kombat 9.

What's next? Team Battle mode later on? Yeesh....

I agree, that is kind of stupid. I probably won't get it until next year when it's actually completed. They really should have just held off and released it next year.

I like this model actually.  There will only be one Killer Instinct.  Not the 20 versions that capcom puts out for each game.

KI had it's own fanbase when it was on Nintendo's system. The arcade version was different from the console version.

Mortal Kombat (2011) and Injusticew: Gods Among Us  are way better than this trash.

Won't be available at launch and will probably cost money when it is launched.
