The PS3 has not sold well since it's launch. Recent NPD numbers have the PS3 in dead last in the next-gen race. Media has slammed the PS3 for being a rip-off. Sony's stock of loyalists is dwindling each month. Next is Europe, where the same scenario is all but certain. All the while the 360 continues to deliver the best for publishers, developers, and gamers alike.

This should be something very easy to realize. It's a snowball effect, and the snowball is already rolling. It's just going to get worse and worse for the PS3.
I don't think any of us can be certain how Europe will go down. Not that it matters.... even if it sells like gangbusters there it still won't help me quell my feelings of buyer's remorse stateside.

Its impossible to know for sure. The clincher will be if they can get some really hot games leading into the fall season. But with the wii and the 360 as competition, the PS3 will still have an up hill battle next Holiday season. I don't care how many great exclusives it will have, most people still gift shop on a fixed budget. Those who want a PS3 for MGS4 and DMC probably already bought one. Sony needs to focus on the larger segment of consumers who don't get interested in games like that.

I have noticed that everytime a 360 fans bashes a PS3 in his topic it some how gives them and other 360 fans hope that PS3 will continue this way. I mean if you guys just realise that PS3 has been out for only a few months then all your bashing would stop but unfortunately logic isn't something that 360 fans are known for, while you lot bash PS3, guys at Sony are siting comfortably in their seats knowing that PS3 had a better launch then PS1 and 2 as well as the 360.

its a shame that people were saying that about the ps2.....trust me....a price drop is all that is needed for people to start buying ps3's....the vast majority dont reaserch their games so even then people would by the crappy games that are out for ps3.....give it time....and it will catch up

360 has outsold the PS3 every month since it's launch here in NA. What do you think that's suddenly going to change? Hate to break it to you, but the 360 is the better game console with a better price.

Funny considering Europe's pre-orders have been filled fairly easily and its going to launch well there. The PS3 wil pick up come releases like Heavenly Sword and Lair as being two big titles coming out soon, so on top of Resistance and Motorstorm, there will be at least 4 PS3 games worth getting.

I personally don't think it'll go down that well in Europe. Alot of Europe isn't like America and Britain when it comes to electricals, and the price is just way to much. It might be as big as America but there's only really Britain, Holland, France and Germany (although most Germans are PC gamers) that will have a mass market for it. Another thing is that in Europe people have got so fed up with waiting for it they've already gone for the cheaper XBOX 360.

Please, thats a horrible comparison...you know better then that. The difference was, xbox was in to penetrate the market. I think 30 Million units is fair enough against Sony who were in there prime with the ps2. This time around, both are established, and currently MS is winning. 360 has outsold ps3 every month it's been out, and even if we used cow logic in launch comparisons. Using NPD data, over the 4 months span in NA the 360 still outsold the ps3 and that was with MS still having manufacturing problems going into march, which the ps3 has no more. That matter of the fact is, the market is saturated with hardcore sony players, which accounts for the drop in February. Casuals will not buy a $600 console.Whats even funnier, and I'm guessing it's the younger people that have no idea about gaming history. Everybody says sony can't lose? Well I recall the same thing being said about Nintendo back in the 90's...what happened there folks? Everybody falls at one point. The DS is raping the PSP, the Ps3 sales are lackluster to say the least...and Nintendo is back on it's track to reclaim the dominace it once had. All the while Microsoft is SERIOUSLY expanding it's image in gaming with the 360.
Sony has nobody to blame but themselves, and now they have quite an uphill battle.
