Currently it's for $13.20 on Xbox One in this week's Countdown to 2015...I'm on the fence. I'm a sucker for flawed games, I've played the demo, it wasn't terribly good but I'd still play it because I love stealth games.

What could you tell me about it?

Forget it. Play original trilogy:

  1. Thief: The Dark Project (Gold Edition) - PC
  2. Thief 2: The Metal Age - PC
  3. Thief 3: Deadly Shadows - PC & Xbox

Much better games and still kick ass games despite being old.

I've only played a few hours of it so far, but it seems better than the internet would have you believe.

That said, I hear it runs like ass on consoles.

Cool . But if you have played the original trilogy then new Thief may break your heart.

I have it on XOne and I really enjoyed it. Doesn't come close to the first three, but at that price I'd go for it.

I'm gonna pick up Ground zeros in the sale

I would say no.

Terrible hub world and map design, respawning enemies a la Far Cry 2, crappy story, underused setting...

Just play Dishonored again.

NOPE. Its boring, better play Dark Messiah of Might and Magic ( same kinda gameplay mechanics with rpg elements but 10 X more fun).

It is far from the best game but can be ok to play through once. I didnt like the map layout that much, small town is splitted in small sections. Had rather seen openworld town.

Btw i am not that much for stealth games either...

Screw it, I bought it. I could've bought it for 26 bucks used, but then I would've to sell it later (which is something I'd have very hard time doing) or trade it in (there is hardly anything worth as much as Thief that I haven't played or I could've traded in for), and I already have a physical copy of Shadow of Mordor which I'm going to trade in for Evil Within. Having two games to have a hassle to trade in with is one too many.

13 bucks is a fair deal on Xbone no matter how you look at it.

It's terrible. The first 2 games are the best in the franchise with the 3rd having some interesting level design and mission structure.

I think it's definitely worth a play-through for that price. I enjoyed it...

You can get the original three games for less than that during a GOG sale.

And they're actually worth your time.

I tired to play it and its probably worth it for that price you played, but its buggy and lots of loading, screen tearing and popin.

Yes, worth that price. When I had GameFly I played it, but didn't finish it. I am thinking about picking it up as well.

I'd tell people not to bother with it, especially if they've played the previous games.

The sound design is awful, there are too many scripted "whoops you got caught" sequences, and the mission design leaves a lot to be desired.

Think you made a smart choice. Hell, hard to go wrong at that price, even for a flawed game.

It'd be great if the devs listen to the criticisms of the reboot, and the publisher still sees enough potential to give us another game. Too great of a franchise to go out like this.

Really doubting that game myself.

I picked up Titanfall(360) with all the DLC for €11. I know it's not the best version, but I just wanted to check out the game. For about 10 with all the content, that's more than worth it.

Hmm, From my experience myself (pc version here, think it is important to label the versions).

It runs pretty good, I have no real issues there, looks good, plays well.

The game has some really odd disconnections with its own story, or rather the story paints you as someone WHO does not kill people (kind of lorewise ok) but then allows you, no that is the wrong Word, equips you with the tools to be the most freakin deadly thing in that city. It states that you are not into murder, then shoves a bunch of arrows into your face with a "just in case you want to go on a murderous rampage" feeling to it.

the stealth does feel a bit cheap from time to time, or rather the ais reactions to stealth, they hear the most odd Things, and ignores others that should have made half the city aware and worried.

The way the game is structured with the hub, and missions branching out, irks be a bit, it is not worse then say DE:IW, infact I consider it better, and the loading for me atleast aint really bad.

But the game feels wrong, it i hard for me to explain just how, I am not sure if it is the movement of myself in the game, or the people that enhabit the World, something is just off to such a degree that I never got past the 3 hour mark.

It is one of those games that when you play it, have fun with, but when you ain't playing consider to boot up in my case.

I'm necroing my own thread - I'm playing Thief now and while it's immersive it's also insultingly easy even on Master and also I got mad once when I seemingly did everything and couldn't progress any further because one predefined solution was the only solution while the game was pretending to be open-ended up to that point. Btw Garrett looks like Joaquin Phoenix.

What's more mind-blowing Lord vanOrd rated those two games equally.
