I know that PD has had some problems lately but do you think they could turn things around for GT 6 to be at least as good as Forza 3?

By the time GT6 comes out Forza 15 will be about to be released.rybe1025That's pretty sad on both parts actually.
Until Kazunori pulls his head out of his ass and realizes he has very strong competition in Turn 10, no, I don't believe GT6 will be any better. The game is still stuck in the Playstation era, racing games have moved on.foxhound_foxThis. Kaz has a completely detached view of what a racing sim should be on consoles. He's taken little to no cues from competitors in terms of adding features to his games (seriously, paint chips, wtf) and seems to spend very little time actually managing his development team.

LOLWUT. besides custom decals, what feature does Forza 3 have over gt5? NOTHING. that paint job does not even add anything to the gameplay. GT5 had a track creator, weather, 16 cars on track, day/night cycle, 3d, head detection, working gauges, rally, f1, nascar, etc.
everything is being copied by T10 for Forza 4.

Why should he fix a successful recipe? The matter of fact is that despite criticism from reviewers and racing game fans-alike GT5 is the best sold racer this gen.
Even if "the ultimate driving simulator" phrase holds little weight anymore it's still a racer packed with features and an authentic racing feel.

No. GT5 is embarrisingly far behind Forza 3. They'd have to throw away everything and start from scratch if they want to beat Forza.
GT6?! Probably has a better chance competing with Forza 4, if it ever comes out, has it even been announced?lamprey263
Yeah. They said they started working on it immeadiately after 5 went gold.
Include infamous 2 in that list of exaggeratting. Anything rockstar releases is considered gold wheras i thought games like gta4 and rdr were pretty averageIs it just me or people seems to be exaggerating some games fualts (GT5, FFXIII) while overrating other games (ME2, (Whatever Rockstar makes)) a lot recently.

The main problem with GT5 its too encyclopedia like for its own good and it really stifiles it in a lot of ways.
meh Forza is no worse in that area. If anyone wants a proper sim they won't be buying GT5.Is it possible for FM4 to match GT5's driving? That is the real question here.

arcade? lol, what are you talking about? Fanboys :roll:Atleast GT 5 wasnt an arcade racer.

[QUOTE="lucky_star"]arcade? lol, what are you talking about? Yeah I've never understood why people say that GT5 is a sim yet forza is an arcade racer. There isn't much difference between them in that regard, with both of them not being the best sim but still not really being arcade.Atleast GT 5 wasnt an arcade racer.

arcade? lol, what are you talking about? Fanboys  Forza 3 was dumbed down, you think 4 will be any better with kinect and all that active steering crap? Good luck. Im done with the series.Sure why not :) Do you reckon that duke nuke.... Erm, I mean GT doesn't need more then 5 years to turn out average? My, we're setting standards for Grand Turismo rather low now, aren't we?

It's been shown that Kinect will support head tilting, not a replacement of the control pad. Thats an old tactic. Kinect feature does not change the fact that F3 was already dumbed down compared to the superb Forza 2. Forza 3 IMO and plus the crappy unrealistic handling it was filled with bugs. That actually makes me wonder how in the hell it could score so good???? Oh well so did PD0...

It wasn't dumbed down, it just offered more options to make it accessible to people who weren't used to arcade sims. If you turn off all the assists and gameplay help, it feels like GT does with no assists. The only difference is Forza 3 looks and runs better and has more features.

I disagree, it doesnt even feel as good as F2. IMO accessible does not translate into more realistic handling. /End of discussion.GT5 was a great racing game, some guy actually came 2nd in 24 hour lemans after graduating from the GT academy. But Forza 4 will be accessible to all, I hope it has less loading screens.
