I’d recommend to anyone fantasizing about Starfield to watch this FO76 review three times.
I just don't get it. What are people hyped about, Todd's promises? How many times does this have to happen before gamers learn?

The only reason why this has a high chance of being good is because they're trying to boot a brand new franchise that is as big as ES and fallout. If they fail at the first game like EA failed with Anthem, there's no hope for the future. That's the main reason i'd bet money that Starfield will be good. Expecting a 9/10 here and like 92 meta.
I really enjoyed Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout 4. Hoping for a similarly great experience with Starfield that I had with those games. That’s why I’m hyped.

There is your answer.🤷🏽♂️

Brand loyalty. Its an MS first party game now so the Lems will act accordingly
There's nothing wrong being hype for what we don't know on Starfield, or being excited for a Bethesda game. I myself for one have always been cool with Bethesda alone, not MS. That said, I put so many hours into Skyrim and hoping Starfield will be something of a Skyrim in outer space something like that. I'd take what @Archangel3371 said but at the same time, I still advice anyone to keep their expectations low until E3 2022 starts and there better be gameplay reveal or else!
As a Hermit, I'm skeptical how Bethesda will handle this new IP.
@st_monica: lol skillup had a vendetta against 76 since before it was released.... get outta here with that old ass video
Well, Skill Up righteously criticized the beta as well, which angered many Bethesda fans at that time. However, it turned out later that Skill Up was completely right. Likewise, I expect many to feel "their FO76 review has aged like fine wine" when they play Starfield.
I've enjoyed every Bethesda single-player RPG I've played so I'm certain Starfield won't disappoint. If anything, the fact that it's an entirely fresh IP, set in space, makes it even more exciting.
The lack of gameplay so far isn't a problem. They tend to reveal their games close to release so I expect a showcase during E3 at the latest.

kind of reminds me of peter something. creator of fable.
I loved fable 1 and 2 but kind of fell off when fable 3 came.
he simplified to much and promised way to much.
you just described ever xbox showing in the past 2 years lol.
That is false but you are a shill so that is expected.🤷🏽♂️
really ok go watch some inside xbox then. all they did is talk on the couch.
the most disappointed one was when they promised gameplay put there was only a min or 2. the one they showed off vallhala. xbox hyped the crap out of it.
atleast sony tells you what the state of play is about and what to expect not to get to hyped.

I have and they proved that you are wrong. You don't need to shill all the time man, especially with false information.
Majority of people hating this game because of Bethesdaphobia. one game they make bad that was online. they are now not allow to even make a fresh new IP.

People hate on everything. Some people like bad games like Far Cry 2. That is just the world we live in.
Others have said this, but didn't Fo4 show it's announcement trailer and release in the same year? I'm not overly interested in space, but I hope it's a good game.
Definitely intrigued, but past Bethesda Game Studios games never really clicked with me. So we'll see I guess.
There is no way this game is launching this year. The lack of gameplay in that video pretty much confirms it.
hmmmmmmmmm nah, if anything is this even that out of line for bethesda?
They announced Fallout 4 at the E3 in 2015, released the game holiday of 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if that's just their wave going forward. Make thing, not a big over done couple years spent marketing the game, but a smaller 5-6 month stretch pimping out the game after a big reveal.
Frankly that aspect of their routine is refreshing. Done with every other games way of teasing, then teasing footage of the game, then teasing it again, then showing like sort of gameplay, then like a proper demonstration, and then its like a nother year or two before the game comes out, gets hyped up as the 2nd coming of god, before society comes to the logical conclusion that the game is aight.
LOL Bethesda and LOL Todd Howard! They haven't made a good game.
Morrowind was cool.
Also enjoyed Oblivion and Skyrim to an extent, but Morrowind was on another level. Wouldn't go back and play it without like a thousand mods though.
Bethesda has lost their charm. This started to show with Oblivion. Was very noticable in Fallout 4. Then they followed it up with Fallout 76. My hopes for Starfield are very low.
I’d recommend to anyone fantasizing about Starfield to watch this FO76 review three times.
Not sure why someone would watch a 2018 review on F76. The current game is a night and day difference from the launch release.

Indeed.

@x_hedon: ... and I *hated* F76 at launch. Returned it and got a full refund. It was a garbage experience through and through.
Today I actually enjoy starting it up and playing through it. It's a fun experience, especially doing the daily events with other folks. I still prefer going at it solo on the quests though.
