I'm worried about Final Fantasy XIII

With the new trailers that were released a few days ago about FFXIII and FFvsXIII I thought that both the games looked stunning. All the characters look really amazing, but especially Lightning. She has a sort of 'coolness' about her.

My worry is that she'll be spoiled by some bad voice acting. In my opinion, that could hit Lightning significantly.

I really am looking forward to these games, don't get me wrong. This has just been lurking at the back of my mind the whole time.

Your thoughts?

The only thing i worry about is being lost in another world ways away from the reality we live in now playing this game on the 360. :-)

I actually lost interest in FFXIII and got more interested in FFVXIII, not only is that a ps3 exclusive but it's developed by the FFVII compilation and Kingdom Hearts team, it's an action RPG though.. But from that recent trailer.. The game just seems more mature and FFVII type.. I love the main character and the music OH GAWD!:Psanim02

Exclusives are more often than not of higher quality than most games, because they are optimised for the console its on. That's a COMPL:ETELY valid reason.

The story is probably the only thing I disliked about Final Fantasy XII. Its not that the story was bad, but I wanted it more on a personal level like Seraphim said. If Final Fantasy XIII does this, it could possibly take the cake of being my favorite game. Or if Final Fantasy Versus XIII has a mature plot-line with action akin to Kingdom Hearts but deeper and more difficult, that has the chance of taking it as well.

I have such high hopes for both of these titles, and I honestly think both have the potential to be incredible.

"More often than not" - Do you know what that means ? :| Obviously, just because it's exclusive does not automatically make it a high-quality game.

I was thinking more along the lines of Gears of War 1 and 2, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Uncharted, MGS4, Little Big Planet, Valkyria Chronicles and all the awesome exclusives of the previous generations.

Only thing im worried about is FF Versus. Im worried it will have the same boring combat that ruined KH for me.-DrRobotnik-

Depending on what you mean, either all FF's have this same story line and you should look elsewhere, or most FF's don't have this storyline, and XIII won't be an exception.

FF's always boil down to saving a planet/nation/population. Always. On the other hand, None of the main characters ever think they're going to save the world from the Getgo, and they each have some personal motivations that spiral them down the inevitable path to saving the world.

Not the way he validated it, he lost interest in FFXIII and got more interested in FFVXIII because it is exclusive. Seems like a pathetic reason to lose interest in a game just for going multiplat.

Still, I understand where he's coming from. As a owner of both consoles, I couldn't care less about multiplatforms, I just want my game as good as possible.

The FF XIII announcement did upset me a little. Of course, I wouldn't lose interest in a game JUST for that.

Im more worried about the gameplay -- why hasn't it been shown yet? why is it CGI still? I find it rather pathetic that there is nothing to talk about for the game and it's been announced since 2005 -- three years later, more CGI clips.Haziqonfire
