Guys, I'm not a PC gamer but I have to admit I've been curious about the whole World of Warcraft craze. I'm thinking of trying the trial. What do you guys think? Should I open up these doors, . . . . or should I stay away? Zerostatic0
if u have friends that plays wow and show you the ropes then i say u do it , but to start on wow on yourself forget it ..you will quit before u reach level 10
level 70 undead rogue on killrog server
level 70 human mage on arthas server
level 60 undead priest (twinked out) Â on burning legion server
Its really fun. I just recently started and I have to admit its all its cracked up to be. Imagine Diablo with more RPG focus and a huge environment.
Plus you can play it for free for 10 days, and if you agree to buy it ($20) you get another month for free, then its 13-15 dollars a month afterwords.Â

Its a extremely well made and very fun MMO, all around its awesome. I definitely recommend getting it and at least trying it out for yourself.
Its so 3 years ago. If you escaped the trend, be glad and move on.

I agree. It's a complete waste of time and life.
DOnt touch it, waste of money and time
Â
WoW = Waste of Wompom
Â
for the maount of money you would put into WoW your better off buying a new game every once in awhile
Â
becides with Forza 2, Mass Effect, Shadowrun, Too Human, Bioshock, GTA4, DMC4 and Halo 3 coming out, youll need your $$
No. Play Lord of the Rings Online. if you preorder and enter your preorder cd code before the 24th(hurry) you subscription will be $10 instead of $15(or you can pay a one time fee of $200 to play till they close the servers, which will be a long time from now.) It plays like warcraft except that its more fun. Do it. Seriously. Make a Character on brandywine. ill hook you up with mad silvers bro. lol madness
Been playing WoW for over 2 and a half years and I plan to continue. I say make the dive.
Go here and try out the free trail.
Oh, and ignore the haters in this thread. WoW is one of the best MMOs and one of the best games ever made. 9 million people can't be wrong (LOL at those who continue to call it a "trend")Â

You did not just mention Diablo and WoW in the same breath. BLASPHEMY. That's like comparing gold bullion to dog turd.Â
matters what youre looking for in an MMO.
i play Everquest 2 because it has a better focus on grouping (i solo a lot too). also, i enjoy the lore and direction theyre going with the storylines of the game.
I have a level 70 and a 62 and the game just seems to get really boring at 70. It was more fun when the level cap was 60 for some reason.kodex1717
Are you kidding? WoW at lv 70 is an infinitely better game than WoW at 60 when that was the cap.
If you have friends that play it sure, go ahead. But if you don't then forget it, WoW isn't much fun alone.TyrantDragon55
Which is probably why there are so many haters of WoW in this thread. Â

Good point. Just trying to dig deeper is all.Â

If you switch around the numbers in your post count...you could have...1337 posts!!!...rolflmao...It's a pretty good game, but my big beef with it is that it's way too easy, and you can play the whole game without talking to another player if you want.
Skippyj9
Actually, you'd be bypassing content if you played alone. You'd miss out on dungeons, which is basically the heart and soul of WoW.Â

62 million people voted for GW Bush in the 2004 election, I don't think I'd trust the populous.
Anyway if you play games for 4-8 hours a day anyway than WOW is good, if not you'll probably just be wasting money.

I'm sorry but to use WoW subscription numbers and compare it to an election to prove some bias political point is completely ignorant and shows signs of one without class.Â
By the way, any investment in gaming is "a waste of money." Who are you to judge what is less wasteful to gamers? On a side note, you don't have to play WoW for insane amounts a day to be worth it. That's a common misconception that people love to bring up as a point, even when they don't know a damn thing about the game.
Cheers. :)Â

If I were you I would pass. I am mostly a console gamer, but I play PC now and then cuz I have a laptop that can run games. Anyways I was not impressed whatsoever with WoW. It just seemed so pointless to me. And to get any enjoyment out of it you seriously need to play a ridiculous amount of hours on it.
You should try it out. Even if you don't like playing with other people, which you will, you can play the game like a single player.Â

You mean 4 months of WoW saves more money than one game?Â
DO NOT PLAY THIS HORRIBLE GAME! It has no substance whatsoever. End-game is a joke, because it forces you to spend about 30+ hours a week doing end-game to get your 1337 gear. The whole point of the game is to get better gear, which totally takes away from the skill/fun factor of the game. Not only that, but the "pvp" is a bloody joke, because it, like the rest of the game, is based on gear, not on skill. Coming from sombody who has played WoW for over a year, and somebody who has tested out, and is a beta tester of Warhammer online, you should wait for Warhammer.Choga
I guess someone emo'd out of a guild. Drama.Â
