Man I had real high hopes for this game. I hate SE motto for the game as "A FF that was fun for the family even grandma" Why square WHY!? Thats the stupidest idea ever. Just cause its wii doesint mean you have to make it for all ages and ruin the gameplay.
Didn't the first one on the Gamecube do good?Has there ever been a good Crystal Chronicles game?
Bigboi500
the crystal chronicles series have been great but it is really depended on multiplayer since the single player have been kinda lacking
gamespot and gametrailers are the best reviewers in the business so ill count on them..i do disagree with the score in some gs reviews, but they hit the nail on the head with the actual content of the written review IMHO!
i dont expect this game to be any worse than the conduit, which they give an 8.6 to!!! The only reason people were excited for this is that its the first fully focused single player crystal chronicles..the video diaries looked real good, and the trailers looked fun...
just one question..I heard this game was made by the people who made ff9.Is that true?
Eh, I will try it when it makes its way over to ther bomba bin. Haven't been one to trust IGN let alone on an RPG and story. The opinions have been mixed but I have been hyped for this so I'm damn well going to play it.
ActicEdge
Yea ill wait for cheaper price too. IDK whySE focused on making this so family and mini gamed focused. ITS FF DAMMIT!

Basically my thoughts as well. I can handle all the mini game crap if the fighting is good and the story is solid. Unfortunately it seems the combat isn't up to snuff though the story is considered quite good.
Didn't the first one on the Gamecube do good?Scorewise I don't remember, but playing it was kinda boring. It was good if you had the MP with the GBA hooked up. Which not everyone had.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"]

[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]Scorewise I don't remember, but playing it was kinda boring. It was good if you had the MP with the GBA hooked up. Which not everyone had. Luckily my friends and I had all the hookups...it was a pretty fun game. It was a great 4 player game IMO, just shouldn't have been called Final Fantasy.[QUOTE="nintendoboy16"] Didn't the first one on the Gamecube do good?HarlockJC

I never understood that. I mean didint the GC have 4 ports. How come we just couldint use those.
[QUOTE="humber_matus"]and the great wii games just keep stacking up. loco145Yeah. SH:SM was really awesome. actually i agree ... finished it yesterday ... a bit too short tho ... but i guess i'll replay it for the different story and stuff.
and the great wii games just keep stacking up. humber_matusi believe the Wii had more aa-a games this year.

The GBA is used to show inventory, command slots, maps, stats, and bonus conditions. The GBA gives each player their own screen and menus to navigate through. I know how hard it is to gather the required hardware, but I don't see how the game would work without the GBA connection.
Even though there were annoyances, I still can't find a multi-player console RPG that offers a comparable experience. Oh well. Maybe someone will develop my dream MCRPG some day. I'm pretty disappointed where SE is taking this series.
Anyone remember this thread? Willy105 saying that Crystal Bearers looked more exciting than FFXIII.
"Its astounding how great this game looks, I had little to no interest in it 4 months ago, now Im considering importing" - Oath
"Some people like teen-drama rpgs with androgynous prettyboys, some like teh kiddeh adventurous characters with cartoon grfx. Different strokes for different folks. Bring on teh kiddeh" - Thunderdrone (I'll take my "prettyboy" game over this crap).
Good. Now people can stop shoving this in my face when I call out the Wii's lack of good JRPGs.sonicthemegaman
All Good-Great.
What it lacks is Great-Fantastic JRPGs.

The game LOOKED rediculously good, hell, before I got my hands on it and hearing all the reviews I may have chose it over FFXIII if I had the chance. Of course, things have changed :P

In terms of visuals it really doesn't look much better than FFXII.[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"][QUOTE="NAPK1NS"]

In terms of visuals it really doesn't look much better than FFXII.Yes, which is great but there is more than viusuals that made the game appealing.
