Control was pretty decent.
I didn't like some things in it like the map and checkpoints weren't close enough to where you die. Also the RNG is shit, I have no idea why they would put RNG crafting in a game like this, it made crafting not fun at all. Its a single player game, there is no reason to adapt garbage f2p mechanics.
Also not much variety in the enemies, basically only a few different types and the gun you get never felt very powerful even after upgrading it. The physics in the game are great though, throwing things at people is very fun.
I wish there was some more npc interaction, there are not many to talk to and you are always out on your own. It would have been nice to have missions you could do with some of the characters you meet up with instead of them just standing around and making you do all the work. Its a very solo game this way and kinda weird how little anyone helps you and just expects you to do everything.
The storyline was pretty good, it kept me playing the game to the end. Only thing kinda similar is something like x-files, but this is more focused into just supernatural things like alternate dimensions/reality and psychic powers. Its funny when I thought I finished the game, I was like... this is it? This sucks... then there were some fake credits and the game actually had more to it. If you paid decent attention, the storyline does make sense for the most part. Its meant to give you just enough to understand most of it but keep some mystery.
