If you ''Gamers'' only lessen yourself to play AAA games then OH BOY......

You are missing out on some real great games.

Lately all I see is ''AAA this , AAA that''. As if only AAA's are the only games worth purchasing.

Anyone who would ONLY play AAA games is a newb...

SOME reviews do influence my purchase decisions, but that's only if a game get's REALLY BAD scores everywhere, if the game get's relatively good scores from most major sites (like... 7-10 press average) then I usually like to at least rent it, to give it a try.

But I don't let reviews completely influence my decisions; I try to make my decisions based on personal experience. It is the way of the gamer.

Katamari Damacy - 8.7

Shadow of the Colossus - 8.7

Resident Evil 2 - 8.9/10

Metal Gear Solid 3 - 8.7

Majora's Mask - 8.3

Kingdom Hearts II - 8.7

Devil May Cry 3 - 8.6

One thing for sure is that AA games are definitely better than AAAA games on this website.

I know. It's sad really. Some games I've enjoyed are

Sonic and the Secret Rings (7.6)
Baten Kaitos: Origins (7.5)
Grandia 3 (7.6)
The Suffering (7.6)
Harvest Moon 64 (7.3)
Killer Instinct Gold (7.3)
Mega Man 64 (5.3)

And there are so many more just didn't want to name them all. Man, looking at that I really like the 7 range.

I buy games if I like waht I see. I only use reviews to get a good impression of the game. Synchro456

Thats all I use reviews for. I mean reveiws are basically the opinion  of the reveiwer. The best example of this is Ghost rider. The same reveiwer scored the PS2 and PSP version with around a 4. But a diffrent reveiwer did the GBA reveiw and scored around a 7. You would think that it would score the same or worse on the GBA.

I rarely enjoy anything that gets less than 85% or so on GameRankings.  Very seldom.

Perhaps I'm just picky.

Umm, maybe we play games because we enjoy them? Not just because a site on the internet told us to enjoy them.

Not all AAA games are must-haves.
