I owned all 3 consoles for 2 months, then, just hours ago, red lights. I was getting a # of 360 games in 5 days but back to the store. I went online and its $100 to repair it. M$, I bought a 360 for $160, wifi for $50 and Live for $50 more. I am NOT paying $100 more to repair this piece of crap! This is costing more than my PS3 ever did. I have owned my 60 gig model for 1.5 years and all I've had to pay was the first price. The PS3 is the better console. Even before RROD since I get a reliable system at a cheaper cost. So to all those who had a 360 RROD, I am SO sorry I feel your pain.

Even if your warranty expired, it's not to hard to fix RROD by yourself. I fixed one. Not mine, though. That's an achievement. If you fix one, seriously, you will understand that fear of getting RROD is nothing, after you overcome the problem by yourself!

#1 Reason I bought a PS3, I respect Xbox as an equal, but I worried to much about having it break. I'm not good with keeping the papers so I figured I'd get a console with the least amount of people having issues. I will get a 360 eventually. But not yet.

MS doesn't ask for a receipt proof of purchase or anything. They even warrantied mine after I tore mine apart trying to fix it myself, removing the warranty sticker.

RRoD has a 3-year warranty. Again you are either lying or are extremely gullible to have NOT known when you "friend" bought his console to know when said warranty expired.

you think your luck sucks? well i had mine die 4 times total, once right before GTA IV and once before GeOW2,FO3, etc............ you dont know how much i hyped those games
