How come no one in SW is talking about PORTAL 2

The game seems to be getting some really impressive reviews with a 95 on MC. in fact in some reviews iv read they say it deserves a spot as one of the greatest games of all time. Im thinking of getting it next week but whats going on with SW, i havent even seen a single thread about it in forever, if i didnt know any better i wouldnt even know its out. so how yuou guys enjoying it if anyone here is playing it lol

The game is phenomenal. Not quite perfect, but still one of the most polished games out there. Very funny, very fun, and very unique.

Because it's a multiplat, so no one cares.

We had a hype thread, everyone was "OMG portal 2", then 2 weeks went by.

It had a sticky. Dont know what happend. I honestly could care less for the game. I mean I thought portal1 was ok and imo is not gods gift to gaming.

I have yet to buy it. I'm getting The Witcher 2 and L.A. Noire and will probably purchase Portal 2 when it's around $30-40 (in Canada :().

Its not an exclusive.

Because PSN is down. No one can redeem their PC copies, and of course they don't want to play it with a gamepad, so they have to wait.

It's a phenomenal game, what's there left to discuss that'd suit this forum?

Because its just a good game not this amazing game, It was released and people realized it wasn't the second comming of portal by valve. If your even remotely good at portal 1 portal 2 will last you under 4-5 hours.

Amazing game.Too bad i have no one to play he co op with :( Anyway the SP ending was just freaking awesome. You don't get many endings (if any) like this one these days.The characters, writing and voice acting are great, the story is good, the gameplay/puzzles are just awesome and even the source engine still looks good.Also the game makes you feel smart which is always good. :)

I beat Portal 2 on x360, both single player and coop... but now theres nothing left to do with it. I'll trade it in, get the PC version and try some custom made maps, but otherwise it was really fun and very well done.

Because it's amazing.

Anyone who says anything bad about it should be put down immediately.

because it's main appeal of steamworks with ps3 and pc players working together isnt available.....and because the game is good on ALL platforms people dont care

Yea cause I said its not going to be nominated for goty:roll:. Better check on your portal shrine and make sure the candels dont make anything catch on fire. Again I dont see what others see. Ill give portal props for being different in the first part but the game didint click with me,glados wasint funny to me and nether was that song. Thats why I dont bother buying portal 2 since its just more portal and if I didint think it was jesus in a can the first time around this one wont change my mind.

There's not much to talk about. People bought it, played it, the end.

It's not like there's a compelling narrative to discuss, or the gameplay is so deep that people need to ask each other for tips.

one of the funniest and funnest games ive ever played. the coop is full of moments that will make you smile. i loved every second of it. i wanna replay it with another friend already.

i mean, there's only so much you can do with a puzzle FPS.

Just finished it and DL'd the song...Christ what a fantastic trip. Another champagne moment from Valve... Next up is Episode 3 surely!!

Still, I sincerely hope Valve doesn't decide to remove player control at a critical moment again. Seeing a horrible design trait from Call of Duty in a Valve game was the worst thing I can think of in it.

I feel the same about Portal 2, except I additionally felt the campaign as a whole, especially the writing, was just too much of a good thing. The first one was literally perfect in every regard. Portal 2 is the equivalent of eating the greatest chocolate in the world for breakfast, lunch, anddinner, for one whole week. Sounds good in theory, but youdo get a bit sick.
