How badly do you want the NX?

We don't know anything about it other than two letters: "N" and "X", so I'm indifferent.

It takes more than two letters of the alphabet and the impending death of the Wii U to excite me.

We don't even know what the hell it is yet

Would it honestly surprise anyone in the least that when the reveal comes, it's (yet again) some gimmicky bullshit with a goofy, gimmicky controller design? With hardware specs on par with the PS4/XBone and literally no 3rd party support to speak of?

Because if I was a betting man, that's sure as hell what I'd put my money on.

I don't want to see Nintendo fade out of the console market...but it appears pretty much inevitable.

If they're even going to have a shot at the NX being successful, they sure as hell better get a new marketing team. The advertising for the Wii U was totally non-existent. Tons of people didn't even know about the fucking thing until it had already been sitting on store shelves for 6+ months.

i'd get this console if its got a great controller without any gimmicks like in their previous ones with motion control or junk. I fear what others do, it'll be like a tablet console with touch buttons and be like gaming on a terrible ipad or android device with tons of "free" games with advertising that will make me regret everything.

Not gonna lie, I really want this to be a good console. Really don't see where you could go wrong with Nintendo's first party + ample third party support. It's the perfect console really. Also idealistic as **** knowing Nintendo and their shitness.

So-so. I'll be more hyped once I see a reveal, and some form of a games lineup.

After the U I'm done buy nintendo systems. No interest at this point.

If it has backward compatibility with WiiU and an ample Wii eShop section I would get one ASAP. I only played Wii games at others houses and was planning to hold off on a WiiU until the end of it's cycle anyways to pick up all the exclusives. It would be even better if the supposed "handheld" component (or the console itself) was backward compatible with 3DS (I do have a N3DS + DS so no biggy).

I do want to know more about it and I hope they reveal it soon. Begs the question of some of their exclusives getting pushed back. Was it always part of the plan to say they would be coming out on the WiiU to realistically be a launch NX title? That would be pretty dishonest to the current fan base of the WiiU.

@undefined: I want it to be basically a Super Nintendo 2 with a great online element. Just a rock solid console with amazing games, great controller, and no gimmicks!
