How BAD? It doesn't look bad at all...I play 360 on a SD TV and games like Gears of War, DOA4 look amazing. The only downside is that the writings in some games(Dead Rising) are sometimes unreadable. But other than that the graphics are great. See HD doesn't change the graphics, but it changes the quality of the picture, and to be honest, yes the games do look better on HD...

HD just boosts the picture quality substantially. Graphics dont magically change from bad to good when you use a different TV.

You will only see (much) clearer textures and edges, as well as more vibrant colors. Just search for it on google. I know for a fact there are SD/HD comparisons.

I was once broke-er than right now and i didnt have an HDTV when i bought my X360. Trust me, HDTV makes it look alot better, but u can live without it. Its not like hte graphics go to Xbox standards or anything. plus just buy the cables so u can play on ur computer screen.

I'm currently playing on SDTV until Sept and I think games like Gears, Viva Pinata etc look absolutely gorgeous.

Nope it looks fine. And if you want HD just hook it up to your monitor. That'll cost about 40 dollars.

I've played Gears of War on a small SDTv, a pretty bad one at that and it still looked gorgeous. Obviously it can't look as nice as on the HDtv but HD doesn't magically make a game look like garbage.

I found gears to be simply unplayable on an SD TV... it basically looks like Im watching a bad broadcast of something in 480I.

I played Gears of War on a SDTV with a picture tube that was slowly dying, 1/4 of the screen was a weird green tint, and my jaw still dropped when I saw the game running. If you have a tv, you'll be fine. HDTV, as said, does enhance but it doesn't mean that SDTV is bad.

The graphics of 360 games look fine in 480p. So do PS3 games. HDTV FTL!!! Until they're cheap;)

Graphics do not change whether on HD or SD TV's, the only thing that changes is the sharpness of the picture and thats all.

Correct. I'd post pictures myself but things like cameras are useless for me unless i'm travelling ^_^ The difference between HD and SD is basically only the sharpness (visual quality, not graphics) of the picture.

Why do some people act like the graphics go in reverse from xbox 1 if you dont have HD

It's obviously going to look better, if you dont have a HDTV, dont worry about the difference between SD and HD

BS!!

Gears still looks really good in 480i.

Sorry but 360 games on SD still look miles better than Wii games.

He right about the writting tho try playing viva pinata on a regular SDTV it's so hard to read what's on screen. And why did you bash the wii :? we all know the games arent going to look as good so to make that kinda statment is just stupid.

I played my Ps3 on a Hdtv and tried it on a HDTV. While it was playable, I wanted to rip my eyes out at times. I noticed that lines were a lot blurrier, and you could start making out individual pixels in certain conditions/

The only thing that HD does is boost sharpness and clarity. HD does nothing for the graphics themselves.
