Holy. Crap. Kingdom Come: Deliverance

If you missed it before, it's yet another of those crowdfunding projects. Kingdom Come is marketed as a First Person Open World RPG without fantasy, dragons and similar shit. It'll feature an advanced combat mechanics and a dialogue system where you'll need to choose how and what you say apparently.

And it looks fucking amazing.

after watching that idk what to think.

guess it might be one of those games where a friend of mine has to personally endorse the game for me to pique my interest. might happen post-launch.

check out youtube and its kickstarter for a bigger idea on what the game is. personally i thought this trailer could've been alot better.

@lawlessx: thank you. i've just had a read of the kickstarter. yeah having read that there are a few areas which appeal to me, such as their being no dragons and such - they're aiming for an authentic medieval experience. sounds pretty unique, i;m interested in how that turns out.

dialog, progression etc all sounds great. sounds like a game which could offer multiple very different playthroughs. the combat also sounds quite different, will be interesting to see what they do there.

you're welcome lol. lets hope the next trailer they release shows more action. i pledged for this during its kickstarter to get into the beta but i might just upgrade to try the alpha later this month.

I found a video about the combat system. Doesn't seem as deep as Chivalry, but still better than most games.

Seriously though, looks quite good, my only problem is how slow the swordplay is. Hopefully that was just done for dramatic cinematic flair.

Game's budget is currently 2 million. They never stopped crowdfunding after the kickstarter. As for the game's combat i hope people give it a chance and dont knock the game for not having combat like skyrim or chivalry

Been following this since announcement , last year. Game looked great .

Its budget is not 2 million . Most of the money is given by their private investor . Crowd funding campaign was to prove that there is demand for this game.

Don't really understand the point or appeal of a non fantasy RPG you are literally taking out the most interesting element.

I dunno i kinda like killing dragons and shit while casting spells and enchanting weaps.

This game looks damn good!

Have a look at their (or link it too) Character creation video.... the depth of the itemization of clothing along is impressive (5 different layers... with purpose), Star Citizen is also copying it... must be worth something.

Just more proof day by day, we won't see evolution in games, more depth.... pushing the envelop without supporting these projects lose/fail ... we allways lose with big publishers.... look at DESTINY.... talk about "we couldn't work it out , so mass market and make s*it average game = profit."

Regarding your last paragraph, yeah, the industry is in the state when huge publishers and developers started to offer very little, while indie devs are starting to push the envelope.

I have yet to see a good game to come out of kickstarter.
