Heavenly Sword did NOT flop!!!!

The only criticism leveled at the game was its duration, am sure if this game was few hours longer then we would have been looking at AAA title.

I played it, and loved every second of it, even exceed my expectation. Lems please don't knock the game if you haven't even played it.

It was hyped AAA, and it got AA. It's a flop here on SW.

Nobody is telling you not to enjoy it btw. It does look a like a fun game. Might pick it up in the future when it's cheaper, and when I actually get a PS3.

I'm sorry but if I am charged $60 (About $67 after tax), I expect a game that isn't just 7 hours long. And if it is, I expect a TON of extras that will give it an immense amount of replayability.

It has also been given critism of its combat system becoming repetative, it's not just duration. But duration is a HUGE part when we're talking full price.

If the game were $40 you would have a valid point.

hmm yes it flopped you cant just focus on one thing and leave the other dead.... heavenly sword sux accept it... I thought blu ray would make agame longer and heavenly sword wasnt possible on 360 cuz of the blu ray hmm oo welljust keep it on hte ps3 I would say.. :lol:

The game paces itself very well. It introduces different enemies at right time and mixes things up with secondary character and gives players different situation to keep things fresh to the end.

Also combat system is skill based system, so like fighting game, each combat feels different from previous.

So you enjoyed a game that you paid $60 for and lasted a whole 7 hours. Lucky you :lol:Eltroz

I still had 30 hours of fun from that game so far.

It's not that the game flopped. it's that blu-ray + 6 years of development equal to a short and repetiive game.turgore

Look at the underlined passage. Is it a few hours longer? No. So it isn't a AAA title. And since it was hyped AAA and wasn't, that means it's a flop.

If you're enjoying it, there's nothing wrong with that. But even great games can be flops.

it did flop however that doesn't mean it's a bad game. it a good game but in SW fanboys grasp at everthings to claim ownage even if it's a good game. and i dont see how people complain about the length considering i beat gears SP on normal in under 9 hoursRagashahs

The difference is that Gears has things like multiplayer, co-op, alternative paths, cog tags, and achievements to give it replay value. Heavenly Sword is about 7 hours with pretty much no replay value at all.

I think it's funny how everyone here couldn't care less outside of SW. :lol:ball_of_air
