Halo Owns Metroid Prime

Sheep seem to think Metroid Prime is a truly great game, a system seller and an icon that can stand up to Halo. Unfortunately, nobody else agrees with them. As of this writing, according to VGChartz, in North America:

Halo 3 -> 3.2 million (2nd week)

Metroid Prime 3 -> 502 thousand (6th week)


OWNED! Nobody cares about Metroid Prime. It wouldn't suprise me if Nintendo stopped investing in it and instead put that money to better use making Wii Music or some other casual shovelware.

What does Gamespot think?

Halo 3 -> 9.5/10

Metroid Prime 3 -> 8.5/10

It's also worth looking at Metroid Prime 3's Dreamcast quality graphics. Face the facts sheep: Metroid Prime 3 is NOT a blockbuster, AAA, system-selling title and isn't in the same league as Halo.

This thread reminds me of the kinds of things we'd see a few years back. there would be a halo vs metroid prime thread every other day and needless to say, they would hit like 500 posts in a matter of hours and recieve an auto lock (threads used to have 500 post limits)

Metriod prime is a game on the Wii that was meant to target a more teenage percent of people who like a shooting game experience on the Wii. the 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES! nothing is compatible between these games unless you want to have a one-sided argument.

Okay, first, people tell sheep to shut up about sales, and then use them to say that nobody cares about MP3?

Wii (11 months)-> Roughly 12 million sales

XBox 360 (1 year and 11 months)-> Roughly 11.5 million sales

By the way, those aren't the exact numbers, but the point is Wii hasn't been out as long as XBox 360, and has gotten more sales. So by your logic, Wii>XBox 360.

I haven't played either game yet, but I will pick up Metroid Prime 3: Corruption this Christmas and enjoy it. Also, I'll be able to play Halo 3 on my PC in two to three years. I probably won't get it, but at least I'll have a chance to experience if I want to.

But Brawl and Galaxy was hyped more than Corruption. Those aren't out yet, but if you are going to brag about the 360 having better games than the Wii, then choose one of the more hyped games. Make this thread in another month or so, but replace Corruption with Galaxy. Actually, don't. Forget what I said.

So since the Wii is ridiculously popular and has sold more consoles than the 360 or PS3, it must be the best of the 3, correct? Halo doesn't own Metroid Prime in any way, shape, or form. Both are great games, so the only people being owned are the ones who don't get to play both games.

Nobody in this thread is comparing Metroid Prime to Halo, they're comparing MP3 to Halo 3. Which scored higher on Gamespot again (Gamespot forums = only Gamespot matters)? Stop bringing up "ZOMG THIRD RANKED GAME OF ALL TIME." It doesn't matter in this thread.
