GWG For November 2014 Are Here (Xbox One / Xbox 360)

Major Nelson just announced the new GWG games for the XBox One and Xbox 360 for November 2014. I'm very disappointed with the XB1 game. Microsoft needs to do better for XB1 games. The Xbox 360 games however are very good and I'm looking forward to those. Where is the 2nd game for XB1. They should have given us Voice Commander.

Xbox Live Games with Gold for November 2014

For the month of November, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Volgarr the Viking, the newest ID@Xbox game, will debut on Xbox One as a free download. For Xbox One gamers, this is a journey back to the days of yore, when times were tougher, and you really only needed a couple buttons to play a game.

On Xbox 360, starting Saturday, November 1st, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through November 15th.

Then on November 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can downloadRed Faction: Guerrilla ($19.99 ERP) for free through November 30th

Nothing special for the X1 again...bummer

Xbone Boned again by GWG.

ONE SINGLE NEW GAME...AGAIN. They are really being cheap with GWG. It doesn't make any sense. Volgarr (76/100 meta) for November will mark the 8th free GWG game released on Xbone compared to Sony's 21 PS+ free PS4 games (it would have been 22, but alas poor Drive Club PS+ edition). Despite that DC hiccup, Sony released three PS+ games last month instead of four, but only promised two a month. M$ released one new game last month, and promised two a month. What the heck is going on.

Still, overall, GWG for Xbone needs to improve. M$ initially offered and matched two new games a month for Xbone and this is the fourth month of releasing a single new game.

The 360 games are decent, although I played them long ago. 2008's Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise and 2009's Red Faction: Guerrilla. Games with Old, as the old joke goes, but still better than the Xbone's poor showing.

It's hard to beat Viva Pinata. It's great they didn't put the first one up. Already played that.

At least the 360 gets retail games instead of indie games. I am not shocked that both current gen is doing cheap indie games since it is still less then a year.

I'd have to agree with you. This month sucks for XB1, that's for sure. I will get the Xbox 360 games if I can find room for them. I need to upgrade my HDD on my XBox 360 Slim.

Is Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise a good sequel to the original game, or is it just more of the same, with not much changed ?

My issue is with the XB1 game, which is just 1 Indie. They could have included something else. At least they include some real retail games. PS Plus is nothing but Indies.

I can post the PS Plus Nov 2014 games next. It's not any better. They don't even include a retail game. They are all Indies.

Will pick up Red Faction Guerrilla since I gave mine aways years ago (Let someone borrow it..........never got it back). This is a terrible month for both networks and especially bad for XB1.

Red Faction is one of the more overrated games I have played in recent memories. So dry and boring. I mean, I know it's Mars, but FFS, it was so bland.

I am somewhat excited to play the VP sequel though...I did enjoy the original.

Viva TIP is essentially a GOTY version of the original game. It's not actually a sequel. Added some stuff, cheaper re-release dealio. I have a 1000/1000 gamerscore in both of the games or close to it. It did come out in 2008 after all.

PS+ has offered Outlast a few months back, so it's certainly possible.

In total they have offered 21 PS+ free games to Xbone's 8 GWG free games.

Pretty gash tbh.

It's looking bad when the free games on PS+ have a better metascore than your first exclusive since launch, Blackace.

X1 GWG are abhorrent, only 360 games are really good.

Oh well looks like I will be getting Powerstar Golf for the Xbox one free game, I live in New Zealand. I would rather have that as I like golf games.

On the bright side, EA Access makes up for it.

Xbox 360 is getting awesome games because of the bigger library, in time Xbox One will get good games too

On topic, VP is awesome and too many good 360 games being offered for GWG, I haven't bought a game in ages yet my 360 backlog just keeps growing.

Thanks for your thoughts on VP. I really liked the first game, but was unsure if the second one was really that different or worthy of being a sequel :)
