GTA V going to be best game/ GOTY of 2013. YAY or NAY?

GTA IV sucked compared to GTA San Andreas and it still got Perfect 10 , won many GOTY awards 2008. And GTA V already looking to be more beautiful, promising than GTA IV from Trailers.

So GTA V going to be best game/ GOTY of 2013 and also going to score perfect 10 again on Gamespot? YAY or NAY?

It's my most antecipated, but don't forget we know nothing about PS4 and Xbox 3 launch lineups ;)

GTA: San Andreas and GTA IV are the best GTA's imo, and GTA V looks absolutely outstanding. 2013 GOTY contenders without a doubt are: GTA V, The Last of Us, and Bioshock: Infinite. Can't wait!!

I expect GTA V to be quite good, but I also expect most games next year to be terrible. I guess yay by default.

Nay. It's way too early to tell. What have we seen ? Some screenshots, two trailers and a preview that took place in a controlled evironment.

Reason so many were dissapointed in GTA IV because with that game too people were expecting way too much. If you are going to say GTA 5 is going to be the best game of 2013 without seeing any sort of gameplay or playing the game you are setting yourself up for dissapointment.

Only time will tell.

new and better genres are being made. the typical sandbox; steal every car, shoot whoever games are wearing thin. they don't add new content; it's just the same game with better graphics. saints row actually did the whole sandbox thing right

Yeah I'd say V is looking to maintain the character development and gameplay polish of IV, with the size and insanity of San Andreas. 2013 has The Last of Us, Bioshock: Infinite and Watch Dogs as possible contenders, but so far GTA V is pooping on all of them.

Funny that... you know, considering Saints Row is just a carbon copy of San Andreas and all.

Each GTA has been very different. They've kept the same idea, but dramatically messed around with mechanics, features, and storytelling. Always trying new things, maybe going a minimalist but refined route (GTA IV) or a feature packed route (San Andreas), I don't know how you can argue that all GTA games are the same when Rockstar keeps totally reinventing and reimagining the series.

Plenty of interesting contenders among the big mainstream titles next year.

Saints Row 3 has way more content than San Andreas and GTA 4.

And any non fanboy can see that all GTA's have been the same over the past years, but are too embarrassed to admit it just like people who still buy halo
