AC 4 > GTA 5
You can be a pirate in one while you can't in the other
But....I can haz hooker in other?
GTA5. The ship combat in AC4 was fun for a while but the whole game just feels like distractions, there's no meat there. The singleplayer (from what I've played, maybe it eventually gets better) is just the same three missions over and over again and holy shit is it boring to eavesdrop on people.
GTA5 was constantly entertaining and I enjoyed the multiplayer for what it was it's just a shame it still hasn't managed to live up to its potential.
GTA5.
I'm enjoying Black Flag alot, but only because of the pirate setting and naval exploration/combat thing. It's really well done! Unfortunatly it's still an Assassins Creed game, and i really hate it's lore, the abstergo, the on foot gameplay, the invisible walls, etc... :(
I consider GTA V to be the best game of all time, so GTA V.
Don't get me wrong, I love Assassins's Creed IV (it's my second favourite game of 2013), but modern sandboxes are more immersive for me than ones set in the past and GTA V had better variety.
Assassin's Creed IV. GTA5 was underwhelming and an all around letdown.
i agree. AC4 is better in every way
also if i remember u claim GTA5 best thing ever before.
ppls were dissapoint by 4 after month. same repeat with 5. yet mainstream media praise it and give it 10
I never praised GTA5 :/
I didn't even play it until December so I refused to comment on it until then, and once I did play it, I slammed it.
AC 4 > GTA 5
You can be a pirate in one while you can't in the other
You can fly military fighter jets in the other though.
And causing a stampede in a strip club with sticky bombs by the door? Sweet Jesus, the carnage.
AC4 is the better game to me. Partly because I enjoy the setting so much more. I don't usually like urban crime games. Not to mention AC4 on my PC looks so much better than GTA5 on my PS3. The missions are about equally fun in each game.
Though ACIV is a damn fun game (especially the naval combat) I'd have to give GTA5 the edge since it isn't bogged down by eavesdropping/tailing missions.
ACIV, no contest.
I liked GTAV, but I was expecting to LOVE it....and I didn't. The story was a drag, there were barely enough heists, a lot of the side activities were pretty underwhelming, and the radio stations really freaking sucked. The only thing I can say I loved was Trevor, he is memorable and funny as hell.
By contrast, ACIV surpassed my expectations (which were, granted, pretty low). It just blew my mind how incredible it is.
AC4, more enjoyable side content and mechanics imo (even though combat is super weak). I also much prefer the world and the characters. Not because they are better made, but because I like them more.
AC4 only had shipcombat. Missions on land were extremely bad, 70% of it is just tailing people. GTA 5 wins easily, especially with online.

That is patently false.

It's not 70%, but there were way too many. (if you ask me) They're just really tedious, and made it seem like Ubisoft was really impressed by their bush physics.

This. GTA V had a humongous potential to be one of the greatest games of all time, but they rushed it.

How was GTA V rushed?

How was GTA V rushed?
The story felt rushed. They tried to wrap up everything at the end whether it made sense or not.

Narrative is a big part in GTA games.

Gameplay is a much bigger part of any game, a much bigger part and gameplay is far more important than story,(and I liked GTA V's story, it's subjective), anyway, is there anything that you can say to support your statement that GTA V is rushed without mentioning the words: story, narrative, or tale.

Narrative and gameplay go hand in hand in GTA games you can't diminish it.
I bought GTA V and Assassin's Creed IV at the same time.
I played AC IV one night...
Franklin still hasn't taken a day off.

Quality of story is subjective so answer my question without mentioning the words: story, narrative or tale, how is the game rushed?
And while we are on topic, I think that Mass Effect 2 is rushed (activates flame shield).
